DIY $60 Nanoleaf Lamp (No 3D Printing and No Programming)
Hey Guys, So I decided to create my own version of the famous Nanoleaf Panels that in my opinion are way too expensive for what you are actually getting.
This project ended up costing around $60 USD for a 20 panel light.
Here are the Led Strips I used: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N1BGP7B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hope you find it useful

How to cut 30 degrees bro
Honestly speaking I don't like it. But I like the effort and creativity though. Main Content starts from 03:35
total cost? and product names would be helpful
I particularly like the aesthetic. Only thing is the light bleeding. You could have used some black vinyl inside to avoid bleeding. Also the strip can actually be cut but then you need a lot of soldering rework which is kind of overwork. Deciding not to cut it and make it in a solid piece is great idea.
This is amazing. Next time, I would add diffusers to the strips to hide hot spots
great vid, specially cause you had to do a work arround cause you cant program nor 3d Print stuff. as a hin tho. that programing part is super easy... you just need to copy n' paste and you're done... I think you could have save a ton of time this way buuuuuut I love that you didnt ^^
Wow bro... efffortt makes greatt finally... looking vry great..
For me who knows software development, mechanical design, electronics developments and owns 3d printer and a lab where i can basically make anything, feels like everyone knows how to do this type of things.
I'm watching this video while my NanoLeaf setup is being pretty expensive in the background 🙂 So cool that your mother helped you. Love the end result, great job.
Nice job. You found the solution and had a great support team. Well done.
Dude! Thank you SO much. You just saved me 700$ I had budgeted for my new game room. YOU ROCK!
Welldone for being such a creative genius. I bet lots of these have been made since you posted this project, also great that your mum got involved too. 👍
There's no coding required with the ESP32 board, all you do is load WLED onto the board and from there you can create whatever you want to your strips. You can use PC or android
I actually have 2 3d printers just laying around... adhd hyper focus to thank for that...
Time is money. How long did it take you to build that?
holy shit this looks hideous with the 4 unresponsive triangle at the end, not to mention this isn't modular, its just a ledstrip put in a weird shape. dude wtf
love the video!
they look better than nanoleaf i have nanoleaf and want them ;) i need them
Name of materials , plis.
Your finished product is shit. There are hot spots everywhere and the diffusion is nor even at all
Love it, very clever
I wrap mine in fruit roll up and add some Tajin 😋
nice
Finally a "normal" bloke creates something everyone can do...nice one.. Keep it up.
Its easy enough to get nodemcu esp8266 and some adressible led strip, load up wled firmware and there you go ))
greetings, I want to try to make it, but I don't know what you used the white cardboard that is transparent, I'm interested in what it is
u can actually cut them leds
Alan walker baby 🙌 Dope video
hi whats the thickness of your acrylic
Great video but someone buy this man a saw!
Hey bro I don't get sorry why u don't try at least to do it with the ESP32 chip and Wled it's not very difficult as long as you have a USB cable... can be good go be able to solder... and then get some yes addressable leds yes ofc ws2812b... despite that nice nice video thanks for the tip with the glue.. how many tubes glue did u need ? I'm gonna do same as u though yes use the chip
uhm but thats a lot of hard work cutting gluing and building it all. You could easily get it 3D printed from any local makerspace, theres 3d printing services all around these days.
Well, I am gonna to make it 'cause it looks great! Only thinking about how to arrange the LED strip into triangles as it can't be cut and I guess going back with LED strip generates different colours?
Good 💪😎👍👍👍
Im trying to make something like this as i cant afford them They look so cool dude GGs
Awesome!
You can use hot glue if you back your LEDs with aluminium to allow LEDs to cool down. this will also extend the life of your LEDs and the life of your house from Burning down
what type of white sheet you had used in this build ?
How did u attach to the wall behind the triangles ??
nails
just damn, just damn
oh wow manz a legend the 1st video u saw was also the 1st vid i saw and my mom disagree and i found this anddddddddd woowwwwwwwww its a bit expensive but worth the money because here in the philipines thats worth over 12,000 pesos so u save my allowance ty
That looks amazing you did great 👍
Nic........................
anyone know what the sheet he used is called? he said bought from local shop but idk how to tell them lol. thx
Wow! I absolutely love what you've created, so beautiful.
I think you have a good idea, but the mentality of piking on other videos before starting yours just isn't the best vibe.
Good job.
Excellent family work, including the dog. Greetings and "LIKE"
Well Done
actually got a question regarding the lightstrip... did you plan in advance to perfectly fit in the lightstrip? so that it fits perfectly into the shape as you cannot trim it?
