👏👏👏 looking forward to seeing the progress on this one
@@GrindandGasoline thanks buddy, me too!
showing all the parts you replace, not cutting any corners will help with the eventual sale
Yes, it will be a new record for the owner to see everything that has been done. I am going through it from front to back!
very interesting and informative
Thanks so much!
Great work, always interesting and looking forward to next weeks 👍
Thanks Mike, making progress feels good.
Fuel line goes to the fitting on the left back corner to fill the bowls mate the front one is pcv I believe mate! I love the wiring on these things 🤣
Yeah, you are right buddy. I actually broke the habit of a lifetime and briefly looked at the instructions before I installed it 🤣
brilliant I saw this vid a bit late and figured you’d already have it sorted!! Gunna be a cool truck!!
Danny is the carburettor man 😉🤟
Danny is the man for everything!
Great video as always, glad to see things are picking up for you 🙏🤟
Thanks dude!
Really enjoyed watching the Falcon videos. I have subscribed and as Arnie says...I'll be back ! Awesome Tom.
Thanks so much, lots of good progress on the F100 project to share next so its all very exciting!
What front and rear suspension clips are on the truck?
After A LOT of research, the rear appears to be off a 90's Thunderbird/ Mercury Cougar, I haven't dug into the front enough to identify it yet.
Tom like you I watch a lot of resto stuff on youtube. One thing I see many guys using is a small clip on mic and head mount go pro so you get close up shots to choose from for your edit. Looks ace!😉cheers Andy.
Yes, I do need to invest in some better equipment. My friend has lent me a go-pro so I will try and up my game.
Watching in the kitchen while making pasta!😀🍻
This made me hungry!
@ 😂
Good work Tom 🙌
Thanks dude!
Like it. Good old small block can’t go wrong with them hope it’s ok. Carb looks visually large for a 350 stock motor though could be an illusion.
It is far to big. At first glance it looks like a 750cfm Demon. Either that engine is BUILT to heck, or it is too big. Going to check the engine condition, see if I can get a tune out of it and throw something more appropriate on it. That big boy can go on the shelf.
@ nice one mate a 500 edelbrock can be got reasonable priced now I think brand new normally bolt on and go. Or a Holley 600 vac secondary could be good Keep the vids coming it takes effort to film everything I tried! May get back to it soon just hate speaking on camera 😂😂😂
@@tomscustomshop thanks buddy, yeah it slows things down but it does mean I have to keep motivated to get things moving though which is a good thing.
a good reason to carry on mate if it also helps the business grow!
@@tomscustomshop thanks dude, I would love to come to you for an exhaust when I have something worthy!
Are you looking to sell the wheels that are in the bed? Excited for this build
Also banded steels or Detroit steal rims will suit the truck and look awesome 😁
@@MikeVan63 I agree!
looking forward to this and that thing really can lay frame 🙂. So many options with air ride and yes, can be costly. I feel 3/8 lines are best and air up and down quicker, quality components, fittings, bags etc etc. are a must, coils will help daily driving and I would fit twin compressors so if one ever shits itself you are not left laying frame and can still drive it. Will be a great truck 👍
@@MikeVan63 thanks dude, that is great advice. The lines are currently 3/8 and I have ordered some more to run new ones where I need to.
I spy a Renault Avantime! Looking forward to this build!
Thanks dude. The Avantime is cool, but too new for me. It belongs to a friend, as does all the modern stuff in the background.
Shame it got cancelled - stupid weather! 😢
@@nickyaudley2412 yeah I know!
We are only getting further into the future. That 1984 Corvette was the first model year for the 'modern' design. I think if you keep it the colour of what the paint code reads, keep it stock and restore it as close to the original as possible, it will keep increasing in value. The more money you put into the car for authenticity, especially matching numbers, the more moneys you will get back.
Yes, I am with you, it would be better stock. If it were a long term investment that would be the way to go, but not for a short term profit. You would never get the money back in a quick sale.
@@boydscultandclassic Great show, by the way!
@@ClarenceDoskocil thanks so much, its very early days but I have been really thrilled with how its going and excited to create more. The next project is a belter!
That worked out well!
Paint it white with a red vinyl band along the side and up over the back, have the seats bolsters re dyed red and a new dash and you could have a Faceman replica Corvette that you can sell onto one of the guys who have a replica A-Team van.
Ha ha, if you watch the video to the end, it actually got snapped up by someone who has an A-Team van and is going to do just that!
Yep, great minds think alike. 😂😂😂
Hi Tom what a surprise to see my old Falcon again !!!!! I owned it from 1988 to 1993 it started out as a straight 6 I swapped it for a 289 V8 never got around to the body work unfortunately. You have done a great job it looks superb well done mate
@@DarrenWhite-r9s amazing! It is such an awesome car, I am so glad you found the videos.
plenty to work on here to get ready to sell this summer
Sadly, holding on to something until the summer isn't an option when this is your living. Bills still need paying in the winter! 🤣
@@boydscultandclassic yep the tricky situation as you will get more money when the weather warms up. if that is the situation then put no money into the car, sort it out and then flip it
@@londonman8688 Yep, if you watch the video till the end thats what I did! Next project is now underway and I have a bit of cash in my pocket to pay my bills and get some parts for the next one.
Try here in Australia for the parts they are same as our XR/XT and your pound is worth more than our dollars so it should be relatively inexpensive
@@darrenpalmer6073 Thanks for the advice 👍🏻
Depending on the size of the Holley it might be too much carb for the engine combo
@@darrenpalmer6073 I can't remember off the top of my head but think it is a 600crm so should be good. It's running nicely now after the shakedown and re-timing.
@boydscultandclassic yeah fair enough I had one of those carbs on my 302 and went down to a 465 cfm which was a better fit for my combination. Yours however is far more warmer than mine.
@@darrenpalmer6073 it does seem right for the setup. Always need to do a bit of fine tuning with a high lift cam. Got a link to any pics of yours?
The man is a genius 👌
@@matthewcomb7940 he indeed 🙌
should both back wheels equally spin on a burn out ?
Not with an open differential. Any variation in surface grip will mean the wheels spin at different speeds.
is the front bumper bar on the drivers side too low ? 33.38 looks like it need to be adjusted higher, maybe just the camera angle
@@londonman8688 yeah, in all the fun we had it rattled itself a bit loose so I have tightened it back up.
re stuff to see, i think show stuff that you find interesting and you are learning. i think most viewers want to see how this is actually done
@@londonman8688 thanks buddy, that's really helpful. I have been really pleased with the response so far and look forward to sharing more...
great fun useable car, surprised al the engine work and not a manual
Looks pretty cool. Sounds good.Enjoyed videos. Good luck. Did you sort out leading edge of roof lining?
Thanks very much. TBH, I only noticed it when I watched the video back. I will tidy it up before it goes off to its new home.
Really enjoyed both parts of the video Tom. The car looks and sounds fantastic, look forward to your next project.
@@stew_foster thanks so much, I am really excited about the next one.
Tom, I’m a bit late to the party, but great to see your channel. Whilst I’ll miss your clothes (literally wardrobe full of your stuff) but can’t wait to see this grow! All the best dude, hopefully still get a chance to catch up at the various shows over the year.
Let's make a point to share a beer in 2025 buddy 🍻
from watching similar shows on you tube, the most important thing is to make the car as solid as possible. Dont cut corners to get good you tube
@@londonman8688 absolutely. This car is 100% solid.
The next project will need welding! 😅
wish it was an aussie falcon !
@@londonman8688 maybe one day I will do one!
@@boydscultandclassic hopefully you can find one hidden away, keep me in mind !
@@londonman8688 will do buddy. Keep an eye on the channel!
@londonman8688 Me Too.
I think Duck is the biggest brand of duct tape, much like Hoover is synonymous with vacuuming
@@stuartlewis6556 do you say duck or duct tape if you ask for it in a shop though?
@boydscultandclassic I think I usually ask for duck.
Fair play! I don’t know a lot about paint other than I’m not very good at it! Maybe one day I’ll try and a gun in a home made booth 😂 I sprayed a whole car in a gazebo once with rattle cans! That came out ok given the circumstances! What’s the truck by the door? Looks cool 😊
@@tomscustomshop that will be revealed in a couple of weeks 😉
Just ran across your channel and liked what i've seen, so i subscribed. And now i want to look into one of your shirts. I'm in the States, and i like checking out the bike culture around the world. And you know it's like you said, grab yourself a beer and pull up a chair, and you have a conversation started. Thanks for the video, mate.
@@tfjack97 thanks so much. Sadly I closed the clothing brand to start the custom shop (I did an episode about it if you look back), but will probably offer merch at some point if I can get the channel off the ground. Thanks so much for the support!
Happy birthday 👍
That series of Falcon was most closely compared with Chevy's Nova. With all of the Ford goodies available today, they can be a cracking good (and rarely seen) hot rod.
@@HAL9000-su1mz absolutely. It already has some trick bits on it.
Great video buddy, I’ve sent out worse 😂 Thanks agree with you though, masking is a lovely escape from the world.
@@danbennettshow thanks buddy!
Respects to your hard work prep Tom,ah the dreaded orange peel look but your persistence overcame resistance..
@@GARTH257 thanks buddy, I learnt a lot on this build. Looking forward to painting another car in the future.
Good call to keep going with it, looks like it should scrub up well!
Thanks buddy, it was disappointing but the right decision I think
