Great video
Dude I love your Tacoma content Wish you had more up
Thanks bro, I enjoy seeing someone pull a part before I have to tackle the job blind. Heading to the wrecker to go pull a fuse box. Cheers!
so what was that you fixed? the TPS sensor? or the IAC sensor?
Finally a video that helped me thank you so much
Your assume just saved me at boat ramp
Pretty sure that’s my problem on my 07 Toyota Tacoma. Thanks for the video helped a lot.
Saved your video! My 94 Toy pickup 4 x 4 no problem until I recently set e-brake in driveway , about 0 F outside, then one brake locked up! Somehow popped free, using 1st gear and wood wheel blocks until I can fix. Your video shows what I need! Thank you!
My 2022 Tacoma both rear wheels locked up in the mid of nowhere in a blizzard. I was driving in 4wd for a bit sliding the rear. I thought I was going to have to cut the cover off and cut the retainer clip since I thought it was locked in a 90 degree position. Pushing the brake pedal as hard as I could extended the piston enough to allow it to reset and unlock the rear wheels. Thank you for your video man! I’ll definitely be switching to rear disk brakes. Screw drum brakes!
In the manual it’s labeled slot 16 (ABS)
Great video I been having trouble with my 2006 Tacoma I’m going to have to do the same
thank you for sharing, my fuse block is totally melted where that 30amp fuse goes causing all the passenger side lights not to work. this will be helpful when installing the new block
You made it so easy! Thanks for the video brother.
My 2015 Tacoma locked up in my driveway, found your video, stepped really hard on the brake, heard it pop loose, and it freed it up, just like it did for you... THANK YOU for creating this video.!!!
I want to say thank you! Last winter i went up snowboarding and ended up injuring my back (I waddled all the way back down to the truck) went to leave and the rear end was locked up. I didn’t have the ability at the time to get under there to wiggle the break cable but I found your video and pressed as hard as I could and it worked. Thank you again for the tip!
Best video I've seen for clarity, explanation etc. However the music is so irritating and distracting I can't go over a second time to refresh. There must be a special site to download the background music because your not the only one on utube to destroy an otherwise very informative and helpful piece. Video 9, music 0
Gooo thanks man...
Drum brakes? Why Toyota why? Having issues in reverse. Brakes seem to bind up and lightly lock wheel. Only in reverse.
194 views and somehow i dig this out of the depths of youtubes lol. Im a mechanical contractor.. but one of my customers is always throwing odd ball work my way when i have time for it. I guess he thinks since i built a drag car i must be a mechanic 🤦😆🤷. I like the guy so i dont mind entertaining the bs occasionally
Yeah I always get the "Nobody can fix this" speech 😂
both my headlights went out at the same time, I'm wondering if this is the problem? any ideas?
I put in a new relay. I have power on the main one like it did before, with the ignition on I still dont have power on the large post on the other side but I do have power on both small one's? What can cause that?
Thank you for your video. On my ford 2016 E350 the bushings on my shifter were good but I did find that the parking switch on the shifter was not being push in enough to engage it. I worked on it and got the shifter to push down more on the switch and stopped the parasitic draw. I would have not found it, if not for your video. Thank you again.
Thanks keep at it mater
Good vid, sound was way off woke the wife, and scared the kids. Had to stop watching.
John Goodman? No really, great video! 2 weeks ago drum brakes were foreign to me but two of the vehicles at the homeplace having issues with them at the same time led me to get the inspiration to be able to understand what’s going on. I worked in a lube shop in 2021 and I was under the impression that only one tech there did their drum brakes, it’ll be one thing I can mention next time I’m looking for a job in a shop.
Roseanne and I appreciate the view and comment 😂
This has been an ongoing issue with my 2005 for years. Get those e-brakes wet at boat launch etc. and watch out. Keep rear wheels out of water at all costs! They will seize up over night and your truck won't move. I think brake dust/rust forms a bond between shoe and hub and it seizes. I used to get towed to the shop; not now lol. I watched this video and it helped me this time when passenger rear got seized in weather hovering around freezing (like BK mentioned at end of video). Lucky I was in my driveway. Don't know why the heck I engaged e-brake at all; but I did and she seized. I determined the wheel stuck and pulled the hub. I tapped with hammer and used pry-bar to get hub off. I did not disassemble. I just used a bit of anti-seize in areas as per video and sprayed a bit of liquid wrench on moving parts. I sanded brake shoes and inside of hub as per video and cleaned up with brake cleaner and rag. Wheel went back on no problemo. I have learned to take this truck into shop every spring for e-brake service (as per video) to clean the salt etc. out of those brakes. About $200. I am no mechanic lol Great video BK! Like a Harley owner, carry your toolbox all the time and approriate tools etc. ;-)
Dealer told me to replace the 3 eBrake cables periodically. Makes sence
that sounds like MY bad catalytic converter also - I hope it's not rod knock. haha. I mean it's rod knock form the bad catalytic converter gas knock....
I had this issue but with marker light and rear parking lights on left side I was told to unplug battery wait 5 min plug back in and the lights came on it have never seen anything like that before
My car's stuck in the garage, had it e-braked for a year in cold winter. Getting my alternator replaced and belt. Had it in neutral with e-break cranked all the way. Did you have to do the other wheel or just one?
I did both,thanks for watching!
What number fuse is it.
Hi do you have the part number for the spring
Hello what is the part number for the spring great job man really save me money
Hi would this work for a 2014 E150 same problem
Yeah, a broken spring will cause that in a 2014 also. Or loose screws as I mentioned @ 3:53. Also can be caused by a bad or broken switch, part # 9C2Z-3F988A These switches have a plastic arm that can break or just go bad internally. It's shown @ 8:29 of the video and is a black and white plastic thing that's made out of recycled Gatorade bottles 😂 Thanks for watching!
@@thebustedknuckle7561 Thank you
My damn bell crank was stuck bigger than shit.. had a set of grips on it with a cheater bar, slicked up with wd, pb and ky beating on it like a teenager who just noticed tits with a 5lb sledge hammer and took every damn ounce of ass i had to get that booger freed up.. on top of that my damn dog got into something and ate whatever it was because he kept getting right up close and personal and letting the most god awful farts out under the truck where werent no wind besides what he was makin and just sits there lookin at me like he was helping.. not a fun time..
I am going to replace this as well. Do you have the part number by any chance?
Aren't you a bit old for Junior High hyperboles?
Man you really saved me with this video. I was ready to get a new gauge cluster.
Sweet! Glad to hear it! Sorry I don't make a lot of content...I have a helluva time busting my knuckles all day and videoing at the same time lol
You are the MAN! I have know idea how much you just saved me but I owe you a debt.
how do you disassemble the fusebox? i took all the little torx screws out but i can’t get the whole thing to come out. seems like it’s stuck in the middle
Did you figure how to disassemble the fuse box? I’m at the same stage and don’t want to break it
What’s the other relay for?
Will the relay cause the glow plug light to stay on
You are amazing brother. This helped me so much
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Same issue here, and fixed! thanks for the video.
Thanks for documenting the process, I just ordered a replacement fuse box earlier today and I'll be swapping it in to my wife's A3 when it arrives.
It's been a few weeks since surgery and I'm happy to report all is well. The process for the Audi is exactly the same with the exception of the airbox being a different size and shape. I also opened up my failed fuse panel and found the exact same low voltage melt condition in the exact same place. I got 11 years out of the original part so if I get another 11 out of the new part I will be ok with that :)
Hi from Australia. Could you please tell me where you bought the replacement fuse holder. Thank you mate
It was bought from a Volkswagen dealer, they will need your vin number to make sure they get you the right one. Thank you for watching!
Addressed my son’s identical problem.
What if I’m not getting power to the second connection with the key on? Does that mean the relay/solenoid is bad for sure?
Sounds like it may have a blown fuse or an open wire? Thanks for watching!
So did you leave the original wire off of that terminal permanently and add a separate jump wire ground permanently?
Awsome very good video And teacher explains very well thank you
1:42.....it won’t do anything at the other terminal because it’s not grounded obviously to the relay it’s circuit is messed up
How much was the relay and did it last long
It was around $60 at my local parts store, yeah it's still working good. Thank you
