Awesome video. Update for 2024: the live stream options are in a tab in the Zoom event settings, so you find them by clicking that tab now rather than by scrolling to the bottom.

Hi Kasie - You have the best teaching videos!! So, I successfully connected Zoom to a Facebook group with a guest as a test. However, I set it up for a company page and while I saw my client and her guest on Facebook on my computer, it didn't link to the page on the phone. Did I miss a step to set up a Zoom to a Facebook page? Thanks! Katina

Where on Zoom are you pasting those links? This video is super helpful if you only showed where we paste those links. I am following this video step by step and not able to find where on zoom I am supposed to post those links.

This was SUPER helpful! Thank you! So, the STREAM URL goes with the SERVER URL, and the LIVE STREAMING PAGE URL goes with THE FACEBOOK EVENT URL. Do I have to get a NEW Stream Key each time I create a Zoom event on FB? And, for clarity's sake, once I enter my STREAM URL and LIVE STREAMING URL from FB, I don't have to "re-enter" them in Zoom anymore, right?

Hey, so I followed all the steps, but when I started the live stream on zoom, it says it's live streaming on fb, but the event state - this video will start once I start live streaming. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong... Please help!!

When I click "setup live video" I get an error saying I don't have permission to post. How do I get past that?

Yes, extremely helpful! I am just curious. If you open up the zoom meeting before the time as placed on the facebook event will it also start the fb live? or only starts until i click the live streaming?

So bummed. With the updates to Zoom this didn't work. There wasn't any place to put the key.

Hi Kasie, I've turned on Allow livestreaming of meetings, added Stream URL, added Stream key, added Live streaming page URL, started zoom, then more, then live on custom live streaming service, it says/shows it's gone live but doesn't show up in the event or facebook group? Do you have any idea of what I'm missing? ty

I muddled through the connection on my end and then when I went live in zoom, I never saw it on facebook, even though they were connected. Hmmm. I am always so flustered when I first go online and I can't see the facebook window open right away, then the sound is on and ACK! A work in progress!

Super helpful! I just did a live that didn't connect to the invite and people had trouble with finding it. It did come onto FB but it was delayed. Anyhow, I am going to set this up for next week's live. Thanks again!!

Kasie, thanks for your great tutorial! It helped me setup my scheduled FB LIVE event. However, when I went to copy and paste the three different URLs; steaming key, etc. I noticed that my Zoom account didn't have the "Configure Custom Streaming Service" option at the bottom of my Zoom event/account. I ended up just having to go LIVE into my private FB like normal. Do you know if I need to enable it somehow? Or how can add that feature to my Zoom Meetings? Thanks in advance for your help!

Thank you so much! One quick question, when adding a guest, do we just provide them the Zoom link like normal? If we use music does fb still flag it even though it is through Zoom?

A quick question for you - after my scheduled live event was over, I noticed that the video did not automatically post to my Facebook feed. I finally found the video under my events, but it only let me repost it without the comments from the live event (or, at least, that's the only way I could see that it would repost). Is there a way to post it to my feed after the Facebook Live event?

A lot of information in a short time. There are so many ways to teach now other than just brick and mortar. Teaching is changing, and it's great to know there are more options out there than just the obvious.

I do kinda miss being in the actual classroom. :)

This is really cool and a great opportunity for teachers! You explained everything well and I know it will be useful for others. I originally started college as a education major. Being an educator would be so much fun and rewarding!

I've taught in the classroom aa well as online. I like online better. I love that you are helping people do this. COVID has popularized teaching online.
