You have a beautiful way with glazes!
Thank you for sharing your process. This video was so helpful. I hope you post more.
I like this, My new technique is to use RAC on work.
can you do a video on the slip cast process of these ornaments. I have a mold, just learning and I feel like I am missing a step or maybe patience....
The trick is you pour the slip in slowly from left side until it's fill all the way to the top. Then tilted to the right side (the other side ) and pour them out slowly almost right the way.
thanky you@@ianchung1275
how do you fire yours? on stilts? i was leaving top unglazed and firing upside down but yours are glazed....@@ianchung1275
I find it positive to allow each glaze coat to dry before the next coat. Most of the time.
What would happen if only one or two coats were applied?
It will be just fine. Every glazes are slightly different, I do mostly 2 coats and smooth them down.
Beautiful! Does this citron glaze run?
I will say it move a little, but not out of ordinary. 2 coats and fire to Cone 5 hold 10 minutes.
Beautiful work!!!
how would you adjust for cone 5? would you just change the max temp in that program?
There are many way that you can change it. If you can send me a email ian@spectrumglazes.com
I have a picture of the torch. Of you send me a email, I can email the picture to you. clayianclay@gmail.com
This video looks like the answer I have been looking for to clean my raku jewelry! Looks like you were using a Bernzomatic for MAP fuel in your video. Thanks for your help!
How many layers of Citron did you do ? (if you remember :-) love this, simple but very effective!
2 layers are plenty.

Why aren't u letting the wheel work for you? Spin it
Nick Doe , I do use potter’s wheel for bigger pieces. I can easily adjust the height with banding wheel for smaller pieces with various height.
he does near the end.

I really wish you would show finished pieces.
They did.
which glaze is this one?
151 , IT IS A LOW FIRING GLAZE ALSO CALL GOLDEN HALO. The video is showing how it's look like when it is on EM-210.
I slip cast it myself
Where did. You get the ornaments to decorate? Did you make them?
Hi Ian, Was this pot glazed raw, or was the pot bisque fired. It looks to me to be leather hard clay.
From the sound of the brush against the pot it's bisque. You can also tell by the quick absorption of the first hand of glaze.
NEVER apply glaze to raw clay. It has to be bisque fired.
I'm being very jealous of how prolific you are. Trying to kick myself in the butt to get going. -Erin ^_^
Hey thanks for this! I always wonder how thick I should apply the commercial glazes!
