1965 Massey Ferguson 175 Tractor Repaint.
This was my older neighbor's tractor, who bought this tractor brand new in 1965. I did not do any work for my neighbor until I was old enough to pick up 80lb bales of hay. As a 14 year old kid, I use to follow this tractor and a bailer with wire hay bales kicking out quicker than I wanted. What great memories. My Dad bought this tractor from that same neighbor. My Dad gave me this tractor to me to have around my own property. I've had it for over 20 years now.
Wow, what a time piece.

First Wash in 30 Years, 1977 Ford F-150 Custom w/Dump Bed
มุมมอง 3.8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Time to give the F-150 a good Exterior wash to see out the windows and check out how well the truck would clean up after all of these years from sitting in the barn. Disclaimer: The nozzle popping off was my assembly required mistake. Not the product itself.

Sweet truck
Thank you. We are in the process of doing this and were unsure of which end of the drive shaft we needed to loosen.
Glad to be of help!
Thank you for the reply
Worthless belt change video. Should have titled it tensioner spring replacement.
the grasshopper with T-drive works better no belts or Pulley to change
What’s the part number for the alternator you used? The picture on the alternator box doesn’t look like the alternator that’s installed on the mower.

Built Ford Tough 👍
😂30 years but it still starts this car is very strong
Absolutely. Strong machine. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks buddy. Keep working on those old Masseys.
Looking good my brother and I are in the process of restoring a Massey 175 right now it has the multi power transmission and light weight rear end in the late 60s and 70s we used a lot of those but they were all non multi power with the heavy-duty rear end with oil bath brakes I think they were of British design we even had some 185s in our area too those were real good tractors at 75hp and great fuel economy
was this converted to tipper or come as standard
This was converted shortly after my grandfather bought it. My Dad, uncle and myself drove back in the blizzard of 1978 after having the hoist installed. What a trip.
Ir's a great mower I have 4 of them
Nice!! You are my idol dude. I can only afford 1 of them, not 4. LOL. And they kick up some grass. Awesome machines.
Awesome machine! What's the max cut height height or is it fixed?
Memories, damn
I know right! Send me anything from your memories. Pictures, quotes, anything,
Had a 78. Thanks for the flashback
My privilege.
Looks exactly like the one my grandpa had! Awesome truck!
Thanks Will. Looks like our Grandpas had similar taste for that special trim package combo 😁.
Cleaned up great have you thought of trying carpet dye also some wax an grease remover or heavy duty cleaner will take the black off the arm rests an your door strikers are missing the bit of plastic off them i use ones off a 88 as they bolt rite in an i like the two colors inside . Cheers mate 🇦🇺
Thanks for the comment Peter. I thought about the carpet dye, seemed like more work and the days are getting shorter here. I will try your trick on the arm rest clean up. I didn’t know about the 88 door striker plastic fitment would work, so maybe easier to find parts. Thanks for all of the information. Cheers!
"little bit of a dent" ahaha loved that. I love it hope u never fix the tail gate.
Thanks, but I did put a used/newer tailgate on it 😂. It bothered me😭 Watch my latest video. 2 episodes on it. Thanks.
Looks good . Cheers mate 🇦🇺
Thanks Peter. Cheers back to you!
Great to see it going . Ive put my 76 an 82 on my channel . Cheers mate 🇦🇺
That is awesome. Send me a TH-cam link to these beautiful trucks.
@@cshell3654 look up my name an you should find them
Nice!👍
I have a 1998 721D also and my alternator just locked up so I'll have to install a new one along with a belt. I think that mine is possibly the original alternator and the mower has about 2500 hours on it. I bought it used in 2011. I have replaced quite a few parts on this this machine, but I really like the mower so I keep learning how to fix it. I bought a belt for it along time ago and didn't feel like replacing it since back then because it looked more involved than I cared to do at the time. Now I have to. Anyway, thanks for this video because I came up with the basic idea that you did here in your video before I watched your video. It helps when I see someone else think things through on these old mowers. Your info on the alternator also helps because it's not always easy to cross reference some of the parts on my machine. I took mine off and it has no info stickers on it. The last big project was replacing a final drive on mine.
Awesome. Sounds like we both love these old mowers and will do whatever it takes to keep them going. Glad to have someone thinking along the same lines as far as reducing a lot of extra work. I would like to see how replacing your final drive went? I’m sure it make a great TH-cam video to help others. That’s my goal to help people like us. Thanks for your comments, it means alot. Keep on mowing 👍
As you proceeded to walk around the truck and say “tailgate is pretty well trashed” my jaw dropped 😳😦😦. Damn son i would say so 😅😅😂😂😂. Nice truck I prefer my old Chevrolet and GMC trucks but I like the fords aswell. My old 77GMC is still on the road and is completely original 350/350 it’s never even had the old Qjet rebuilt or the fuel pump replaced. Been a farm truck all of its life. It’s pretty wild how tuff the old trucks are
Thanks brandon. I like all old trucks . Built tough.
What alt. Did you get? Tia.
Sorry for the late reply. I will try to find the information. Not sure if you can see the label on the box in the video? Let me know if I can help you. Thanks.
@@cshell3654 thank you, I would surely appreciate it if you could get back to me with the part name and number for that alternator.

Same one I installed in the video. I looked up my Amazon history and found it. Good luck.
@@cshell3654 thank you so very very much. I want to be prepared when mine goes out on my 721D. Last week my right side drive belt broke. Would you happen to know which belts to get for those? Again thanks for the Info.
Where did you get the belt from? I cant find out what belt or where to get it or even what size lol
Hey James, sorry for the late reply. Our local farm dealer carries grasshopper parts. Part number 15881-97010. Cost $8.10. Good luck.
The Kubota 3 cylinder in my 725G uses part # KU1928 as the alternator belt part number.
man what happened to the tailgate
Lol. I know right. Many years ago, the truck backed into a tree with the tailgate down. I have a decent replacement tailgate to put on it this summer. I will be doing video on that replacement. Stay tuned.
This is why I subbed, low seeing these old trucks brought back to life! I just bought a 74 2 days ago with 50-60k miles on it(cluster lens faded) that I'm gonna try to get going and redo a little at a time
That sounds like a great project. Love the old Fords as you can tell. Keep me in the loop on your truck.
Subbed back at you.
345k miles you mean
You can replace just the bearings in those stators I think. Was yours burnt up?
Robert, I’m not sure, but the mower is 21 years old. I figured it was time for a new one at this point.
Man! I got a little emotional watching this!
Thanks brother. Me too!
Sounds good that would be great
Absolutely 👍
Really enjoyed the video I have 1979 f100 iam redoing I also live in Ohio southern Ohio Jackson County
Thanks Ron, maybe some day we can get these trucks together. Good truckin on your 79 f-150. My first truck was a 1979 f-150 4x4, with the 351C. Wish I had that truck back. It was a kickin truck.
Looking good keep up the good work!
Nice job cleaning it! These old trucks are fun to drive and to work on.
Richard, I hear ya:)
Looks good the wheel trims have red in them standard was silver must be part of the trim package an i haven't seen the stripe kit for sale if you need to replace it a good sign shop can copy an reproduce it i had mine done in blue on a white truck
Thanks for the information Peter. I’ll check that out when that time comes 😄
Thanks for the comment.
Ford F 100 - 150 is very good
Great old truck glad to see your taking the time to get it back on the road! My parents had a 77 Ford just like that same color, I remember driving it around our farm!! Thanks for the great memory
Thank you for the comment. Great memories for both of us.
Good job on the repairs... Vehicles tend to start having issues when they've been sitting for many years... Especially items that are made of rubber,, these shrink and crack/dry rot.... The brake booster and master cylinder change will give you piece of mind in the stopping department...Hope you'll also check all the rubber Brake lines...Might be smart to change them also...They're not expensive,, maybe do them when you have to redo the pads and shoes.... lookin' forward to seeing the ol' Girl going on a spin.....
Thanks Ol" Moe, I was hoping my chances of it being a master power going bad was incorrect. But with my luck, I was dead on. Thanks for the advice. I will take your wisdom when changing the pads, if not the rotors also:) Thanks again my friend.
I am glad you made it to this point. It's hard on them when the set for so long, and you have to work out all the issues from setting. It is a good looking truck.
Richard, I hear ya. Just need to make sure that everything is mechanically safe before taking this beast on the road. Being that this truck was my grandpa's and he ordered a special trim package, which I didn't know, makes this more exciting, Thank you for the comment.
Super Nice Truck🤩🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯🙋♂️
Thanks for your appreciation of these old Ford Trucks. I appreciate the comment.
Good to see her going it should look great detailed in that color combo
Special trim package ordered by my grandpa who was raised during the depression. Born in 1900 he was. To hear that this was a special trim package surprised me. I will work hard to get to get this truck in great shape again someday.
Please don't lean over that motor, with the strings hanging down from your hoody, and jacket. Really dangerous around moving parts.
Now everyone saying the same stared the truck in 30 years 👎👎👎👎
PORQUE NO TRASMITES TAMBIÉN EN ESPANOL
Owned a 2wd 75 f150 + 4wd 95. Wish I still had both.
Ben, I say you had 2 of the iconic trucks of their time. I love your taste in trucks. I understand exactly what you are saying. I had a 1979 F-150 Lariat 4x4 with posi traction all the way around. It also had the 351C. As a teenager, I had a 4 inch body lift with 35's. I could churp those tires for sure. I waxed that truck every month. I know what you mean about still having them. I wish I still had it. I am appreciative for getting my grandpas old truck for sure. I have alot of memories in that truck. I appreciate the comment,
I totally get what you are saying. I also had a 1979 F-150 Lariat 4x4 with the 351 Cleveland and posi-traction all the way round with a 4 inch body lift and 35 inch tires. I kept that truck mint. It would even squeal the tires as an automatic 😁 Wish I had that one back for sure. I get what you’re saying. It sounds like you had some nice old Fords. Thanks for the comment.
Hey dude wd - 40 dry up in like a minute a great mechanic once told me that, better off using mystery oil. Not busting balls, it’s a fact, love the truck tho man , my neighbor years ago had same thing Explorer- bright orange w/white stripes, no hydrolics tho, gramps sounds like a good man, I’d be smiling, the ole Ford w/351 mod 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hey Paul, thanks for the advice. I have heard that using Mystery oil is the best to use. I just used WD-40 to make sure it wasn't locked up and there was some type of lubricant on the seals when I turned the fan blade manually, before I started it. Just didn't want it to tear any seals at that point. After it started, it blew out the WD-40 with white smoke until the engine oil kicked in. No busting balls taken:) Good advice my man. Thanks. Your neighbors truck sounds awesome. I had a friend that had a 1979 F-150 with those same bright orange and white stripes and it was a gem. Sounds like a cool truck. Good ole days. Alot of people didn't think that I would get that old truck running again. I have news for them. I will make that truck sound again and it will be on the road again soon. My grandpa was a good man. Thanks for the comment.
A great looking ford truck. Sounds good! Like the hydraulic bed!! Will be a great looking truck when its cleaned up.
Bruce, thanks. I appreciate the comment. The hydraulic bed is awesome. Hoping to have it cleaned up in the next month or so. Will be doing a driving video soon. Hopefully. Take care!
Vuena troca es un privilegio tener una
Muchas gracias. Agradezco su comentario.
That engine sounds dry.
Hi Daniel, All the fluids checked out good before the start. I do normal vehicle maintenance on my whole family's vehicles, so I took the extra steps on this vehicle. If you could tell me what sounds dry means, I could learn more? Thanks.
Gorgeous truck
Thanks Big Daddy. I appreciate the compliment. It's going to take some work, but we will get there. Thanks again!
Just caught your video, and I like the old truck. Hope you get it out and drive. I would do something different with that straight on gas filler tube. That was as close as you get to a turn key first start in 30 years that I have ever seen. Hope to see more videos on it.
Thanks Richard, Yeah, have some work to do on the filler tube layout for sure. It has always been that way, so time to improve. I did a lot of running things through my head and talking with friends on the engine prep, so I guess I was lucky to have caught the first start on video. Thanks again.
Classic truck sir 👌/its hard to keep old school trucks down / they better then the trucks of today /
Thanks Chris. I agree with you on your comment. Much easier to work on also:)
