Was expecting a review of the silk at the end of video, what was the verdict?
The silk has a more carvey style to the pure, it gives the ultimate carving experience to a downwinder especially with the ha stabs, but if your looking for the best glide and ease for downwinding the ha's are the foils
Ahh omg me and my sis and my big family were going there right now
Sick how much do you weigh?
Have you tried the 980s yet? Sick vids nice to see some relatable conditions
Absolutely awesome! The music, the joy, the video, just beautiful!
Great video, Whats your weight? Will you do a test of the 1300 as well?
I'm 90kgs yes in the future we will do
Great video.!
Thanks for making this. I wanted to swim from Exmouth to Dawlish Warren. Do you think anyone has done this before? Great day for Kite surfing yesterday, saw lots of people riding. Will have to come down and do a lesson again soon. Thanks
Hi leon, People have definitley done it!! But you are crossing the main boating channel so you need to be very careful and isnt recomended!!
@@edgewatersportsdevon Okay, good shout. Is there a swimming group here?
It took me a minute to realize he was talking about Exmouth - UK rather than Exmouth - Western Australia. I though something was off. Never seen it that green and overcast in exxy before haha
No test=no decent review
I was there today watching the kites with my little girl. It was pretty busy. How do you not get tangled up when so many kites are up?
thanks for this, i feel much more confident about going up there and learning on kings lake
Cannot wait !!!!!
Stunning!!!!!!! Wish we were there!
And the Aluula Roam 10m is 2.1kg for comparison
Great edit... but when are you going to release the out-take video with the less attractive people in it? I did a killer buoy turn right under the drone...You’ll recognise me I was the old guy in third wearing a green moob-tube gurning at the camera ;-)
Great briefing guys really looking forward to it, which start are the juniors on and if your a junior on a 12’ 6” is it the shortened course Churs
Hi Nic. Courses are as per board category so they should aim to complete the course appropriate to their board. If unable to complete the course, follow the procedure to retire from the race. "Retiring from the race: Should you need to retire from the race without completing the course, you must inform the organising committee by either informing one of the safety boats or one of the beach marshalls at the start/finish area"
I think the juniors should have to do a longer course than us elderly lot ;-)
sorry when you've turned around number 13 and start to head back out, how far in do we have to go towards the start line? raceboards will be coming back towards round noses coming out, can we stay out a bit and head straight towards the other turning buoy?
there are only around 30 in the 2 nd fleet so hopefully you should be able to avoid each other! The course is observing all the channel markers. ie no cutting corners!
One more thing Eric sorry. Is it a floating start with noses into the tide then not running into the water?
@@timothy236 Yes it will be floating start, noses facing into the river which will be into the tide at that time. as per email "You are heading into the river first (the right when looking out to sea from the beach) so you should be on the left hand side of the start line (when looking out to sea from the beach) for commencement of the race."
@@timothy236 yes floating start heading into the river
Brilliant Eric, Steph. Can't wait
I guess Im randomly asking but does anybody know a way to log back into an instagram account..? I was dumb lost my password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Lachlan Derrick Instablaster ;)
@Ray Emmitt I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Ray Emmitt It did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy:D Thank you so much, you saved my ass :D
@Lachlan Derrick Glad I could help :D
Afternoon, great briefing, thank you. Now the course has been set can you provide an approximate distance of tho two courses. Many thanks and see you Sunday.
Approx 4 miles shorter course & 6 miles longer course
What about the price? Kite got lighter but the price increased!🤣🤣😪😪

Thanks for this, very useful for noobs like myself.
Great advice for the novice/beginner, great video!
Official! Great vid, keep them coming.
Loving the vlogs Eric - my boys are captivated!
Thanks for this, very useful. I was told there are better times than others to paddle board at the duck pond - I think it was one hour before high tide and two hours after. Would you say this is accurate? And what about wind? I tried the other day and there was a fairly strong wind coming off shore. Are the best winds on-shore? Presumably you wouldn't want one that blows you out to sea!
Great questions about 2 hours either side of high tide will work in the duck pond. Ideally for paddleboarding you want as light wind as possible. Offshore winds need to be treated with great care. The water often looks flat and calm but paddling back to shore against the wind is the problem. Remember too that often the wind will get stronger the further offshore you go. So treat offshore winds with a lot of care and only paddle if you are 100%sure you can get back to the beach. Onshore winds are a different challenge as will often come with small waves and wind chop. So the big challenge is often getting off the beach and balance! Make sure that whenever you are paddling in onshore winds you don't put yourself in a position that you would get blown onto rocks, seawalls, cliffs etc. Have fun and stay safe.
This is a great little vlog, 🤙
