I just did this on my 2017 Yukon. So much easier to do the battery swap if you remove the upper and lower attached brace as shown in the video as well as the two bolts holding the radiator overflow canister in place. These batteries are quite heavy, and the factory battery does not have a handle to help lift the battery out. For the little bit of extra time, it takes to completely remove the T brace "3 bolts" and one nut and one bolt holding the canister in place it was a no brainer for me. The canister will lay nicely out of the way and make it very easy to slide the battery out of it holding place. It takes all of 10 minutes to replace the battery this way. No tipping the battery on its side and a whole bunch of other craziness. I have changed batteries in other vehicles a whole lot worse than in my Yukon. Not even close.

I don’t know what these people are talking about this video does exactly what it needs too… it’s pretty clear to those that “can’t see” the bolts are behind a small panel behind the handle and in the arm rest area in the door… not that hard to find once you see this video and know that’s where they are….

Thanks! I need to do this to my 2018 Colorado. I have looked for it but it looks like from this video the valve on this engine 2017-2022 (I believe) is hidden by the cover. I have been watching a lot of videos and the engines did not look like mine (engines prior to 2017), this is the first but I wish some of the video was shot out more then in and then out once the cover was off. Thank you though for posting.

Thank you! The rear middle seatbelt “somehow” got wrapped around the headrest on rear driver’s side. I thought it was odd because no one has been in the backseat for weeks. I took it to get oil change afterward I picked up some groceries and put the rear seats down. When I tried to push back up I found this problem. You saved a whole lot of agony! Thanks again!

Alright did an oil change on my (new to me) 2020 terrain. Used an AC Delco filter. Got it changed out fine and everything, reset the oil life % BUT after a few weeks the oil indicator light has started to flash, with 84% oil life remaining. Would this indicate a leak?

Just did this myself after watching your video. Had to remove 4 more bolts, two on the left and two on the right behind the bumper near the wheels. 15mm. Also, I had a cable cluster that is probably better left alone, so I just shifted it off to the passenger side. My truck is an '24 F350. Removing the bumper is giving me better access to pull the bolts on the transmission oil cooler, (I think that what that is) and instill a front hitch receiver.
