The Holy Prophet (SAWAS) said: I am at war with those who are at war with my Ahlulbayt and I am at peace with those who are at peace with them. If we truly follow Ahlulbayt (as) we we oppose all who opposed them, we will hate all those who hate them we cannot love those who opposed them in word or deed, nor those who contradicted them, nor those who obstructed them, nor those who imprisoned them. Week seek disassociation from them and those who tortured and killed killed them. We are commanded by Allah (SWT) to seek tabarra upon ALL oppressors in contrast to seeking forgiveness for parents and believers. Ruling on celebrating prophet's birthday If a person thinks he can get blessings/rewards of this day,it's a bidah(innovation) If a person thinks he can feel love of rasoolullah on this day it CAN be a bidah. Blessings are not dependant on just months and days/places. It depends on the person and how refined he is. A refined person can feel love of Allah on any day. On the other hand,there are people who do their daily prayer but due to their aggressive attitude can't get tranquility from payer and yet keep on believing "big rewards are up over there". These are the people who object to mawlid because they can't tolerate faults of people. Physiological disease. The people who are obsessed about mawlid are also psychologically diseased people. Legitimate celebration of mawlid If a person wanted to invite people to home for a meal or have a gathering on the birthday of prophet,it's not a bidah because he is not thinking of "rewards and blessings of the day". Meaning he is not doing with a weird religious passion. Similar example can be about a person who reads Quran on a certain time of the day because that's when he gets free time. If he did this recitation at a particular time in order to get the "blessings of that particular time" which is not in the sunnah, he is engaging in weird religious passions and can suffer mysterious psychiatric diseases. Expression of God consciousness must be strictly what have been taught by rasoolullah. His special God consciousness cannot be emulated by anyone. A person who is not inclined to do even a non religious thing on prophets birthday, should evaluate his understanding of deen and do some reflection. People who don't celebrate mawlid are Muslims and shouldn't be criticized or mocked. It's a not a question of celebrating or not celebrating. It's all about how much interest a person has about rasoolullah. Mawlid shouldn't be celebrated to feel superior to other people and play fake emotional drama and claim "we feel the illumination of rabeeul awwal". One shouldn't try to show emotions you don't have. There's no text saying that rabeeul awwal brings unique blessings. Conclusion Two people are praying in two different locations. One in masjid al Nabawi and the other in his home. Whose prayer has more value? Depends on the person.
