I am totally gob smacked that we allow the country that did this to these poor men and women to come and view what they did to us. To our loved ones that are still down inside that ship we had to leave and let them die ? We allow them to come and see what they did that started all this. To view freely what they did to us? It’s like come on in See what you have done. Don’t forget to smile. They should not be allowed It’s wrong

NORWEGIAN SUCKS........Bought insurance thru Norwegian for a cruise to Greece in September 2023. A week before leaving we had to cancel the trip, and we thinking we had bought the travel insurance that we would be reimbursed for our trip. Here we are almost a year later and they are saying we won't get our money back but they will apply it to another cruise. That's not why we purchase travel insurance, it is to be reimbursed if the trip has to be cancelled. They owe us 6500.00 and to me that is not a drop in the hat. Why should I be forced to book another cruise with all of the added expenses because NORWEGIAN doesn't want to honor their insurance policy that they offer to customers. How fucking wrong is that?

I am now 81yrs. I joined the Navy in 1960. My 1st Duty Station was a Destroyer in Pearl Harbor. I recall how EVERY Navy Ship would Render Honors to the Arizona as we passed by entering the Harbor. ❤

Late morning is best time to visit. Sun is high enough to give a better view into the water but don't have afternoon breezes that disturb the surface of the water. If you are lucky enough to smell the leaking fuel oil you are smelling the same fuel oil they smelled on Dec 7th!

We are going on similar nine cruise but will be on the NCL Pearl 08/28/24 difference will be a stop in Montenegro. Thanks for your insights and pictures, can’t wait.

I have been there. I went in 2016. What is amazing and very sobering is that there is oil still rising up from the ship!

Saw it while on my honeymoon in 1970. Seeing the oil still seeping to the top was eerie. In 1970 there would only let us take pictures in certain places on the way to the memorial. I never understood what that was all about but of course, I obeyed.

I visited the USS Lexington museum on the bay in Corpus Christi

I have been there. Such a solemn place. Knowing that sailors are there below me who sacrificed their lives to protect me was awe inspiring.

Tips for people: Remember, the soldiers are (as normal) very serious, do not anger them. Also, you can put flowers into the water from either the middle area shown, or the 2 windows (there's 7 on each side.)
