Honda CBR 1100 XX Blackbird POV Raw Sound | Raw Rides
2004 Honda CBR 1100 XX Blackbird POV. We took it for a ride around the Cradle of Human Kind. The power delivery is very smooth and linear up to about 7000 RPM, once in the power band it pulls like a rocket. It is a very manageable motorbike for touring or everyday use.
The bike has the following mods:
- Delinked brakes

    This is the most amazing video of a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 I have ever seen! And I have seen them all, searched all over. Every once in a while I come back to watch it again, truly amazing. I plan to get a Vulcan 900 Custom hopefully next season, unfortunately here in Bulgaria these are quite rare. This is now the bike of my choice after previously owning two Hondas - CB500 and a VFR750. Thank you for this video! Please put out more if you can :) Take care and be safe.

    I've argued with people on forums that these bikes can easily sit at highway speeds all day long, but they argue the bike vibrates too much! I mean it's got a bloody v-twin engine doing more revs than a harley ever dreamed of, of course it's going to vibrate a little.

    • @officialbuggutz
      @officialbuggutz ปีที่แล้ว

      True. It definitely doesn't vibrate the same but it will vibrate. It's more a buzz than a clunky chug like a harley... like a phone vibration. It's definitely a capable bike for the highway though. Thanks for the comment!

    • @officialbuggutz
      @officialbuggutz ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Thanks for the comment! Is this the Versys 1000? I've been quite intrigued by them as a daily. Why the switch from a sport tourer to a cruiser? 👀 Suprisingly, Ducati are quite relaxed when it comes to that (maybe that's just here in South Africa). They just said give us a call and we can make it happen 😎

    • @officialbuggutz
      @officialbuggutz ปีที่แล้ว

      @@turtle19dad I'm sorry to hear about the sciatica. I'm not sure if bike weight is an issue because the Vulcan is quite a heavy bike despite being a 900 only. If you haven't already, I would recommend trying to organise a test ride with one just to see that it's not going to put pressure on you. It's easy riding when it's rolling but very low speed riding is a fight.

    i noticed your immobilisator(locating inside instrument panel) light is blinking while trying starting bike. And you have some segments missing in a instrument panel also. Never use pressure washer into instrument cluster, the water gets into it easily destroying it. Sometimes just letting it dry completely helps some symphtoms. I have personally done extra grounds from batt to chassis and ECU to chassis just incase allready.

    Bought one new, had several bikes in mean time, but interesting, except my 999R, and I have a 1299 panigale, the brakes on the 1100 Multi is the best feeling brakes by far. think it might be due to not having abs . also my multi has got screen issues. neutral and indicator ligts stopped working. due to water damage. I own a 2021 Vulcan 900 LT. It is great bike for secondary roads. I ride out of Denver Colorado and have no problems in the local canyons and elevations from 5200 ft to 12000 ft. The bike runs best between 0- 70 mph and a joy to ride. Breaking is adequate but its not a sports bike when it comes to stopping. No way is this bike a highway cruiser. Riding interstate I-70 West to Vail at 80 mph totally sucks. Not enough juice to pass up hill safely after 80 mph and lots of engine vibration. This won't hurt the bike it just uncomfortable. The maintenance is easy and the quality is 100% If you stick mostly to the back roads you will love this bike. In the mountains I get about 53 miles per gallon of gas. If I step on it riding the back roads and canyons and then run 80 +mph returning home on the interstate the mileage drops to 32 miles per gallon. If you are new to riding my recommendation is to start small and work your way up. This bike is too heavy for a beginner about 670 pounds. If you are moving up and plan many hours on the interstate, after 55 year of riding experience and the owner of many motorcycles I would only and I mean only recommend a top of the line Harley, Honda Goldwing or BMW for large mile munching on the interstate highway system.

    • @officialbuggutz
      @officialbuggutz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for such a thorough breakdown. I think you summed everything up very well 😎 one thing I would say is that although it is a rather heavy bike for a beginner, the power is definitely managable and forgiving should you make any mistakes with power control. Have to agree though, that if you're building up confidence as a rider, a lighter bike would be much better. Once again, appreciate the comment and you engaging with us 👌 thank you 😁

      I spend most of my time on state highways and backroads. The bike feels at home on those roads. I honestly find freeways very boring. Just wish they didn't stop making the Vulcan 1500. I would've absolutely spent an extra few thousand on a 1500 or a basic 1700 without the bags and fairing.
