Manual is for romantic purists 😂 a good automatic/paddle shift delivers performance easily and helps amateur drivers to focus on track lines, bracking and keeping to car in balance

The Gr had undoubtedly more traction, but on dry track a good FWD still has a chance. I had a bit more engine on fast sections .

I have never driven a GolfR, but it’s a very fast car. In a previous video at Vallelunga circuit I raced with the new Golf R (i30N was still stock) the cars had the same speed.

🙏🏼 it’s amazing how it can keep up with much faster cars. Mine has just a few mods and has become a little track beast

@@waggaclint very well… less fading. But the stock brake kit i reckon is the cars weak point. especially after the remap. On road use they are ok the same squeal as the stock pads , just a bit more frequent

@ yeah I track mine as well, I’ve been using Circo S88 which work well over stock but I’m about too try Winmax W5 for next track day… Your so lucky to have access to many famous tracks👌

@@waggaclint yeah we’re pretty lucky here in Italy. Mugello for the moment has been my favorite. Still have to go to : Monza, Imola, Misano …maybe in spring(March-May). Vallelunga is very nice and just 30min. From my place 😊 Wich tyres do you use?

@@jsmotorcafe confermo, abbiamo girato nello stesso turno - io sono quello con la Civic Ep3 rossa - pista molto scivolosa in diversi punti. Scendere sotto i 2 min con quelle condizioni non è proprio male! bravo!

G’day Dalton 😂 I lived 8 years in Sydney and love Australia so much. Mugello is amazing, the track is pretty wide and technical, my favorite sections are the curves downhill and then uphill (feels like a roller coaster). I just started going on track so I still have a lot to learn…but I try to have fun and improve each time. You got the i30 N too right?

@@jonathansciacca7033 Yeah it's a very technical track, I've been there but never driven there. Would love to drive something there one day. Yes I have a DCT Hatch as well, in the blue. Great cars, so underrated.

@@peterbiviano747 you should drive them both, then decide. Maybe the R is more “all round “ performance, the N sharper on track.

@@politicoinutil wow congratulations! Performance blue I think it’s the best color. It’s such a fun car to drive.I don’t use it often, I have a small city car for the traffic madness of Rome… but sometimes I just take the N to enjoy the drive on B roads

No, I never tried Potenza Sport. I was just about to buy Potenza Race but they were too expensive and probably the wear was worse

Before deciding, I’ve asked so many questions to MTtuning, they were very professional and patient. I know some i30N owners that have their car tuned by MTtuning and have no issues.

How does car feel now tuned u happy with results Much difference

How do you know the exact value? I just got an i30N DCT too. I only see a bar on the info screen and I have to estimate.

@@elcroato85 I assigned the star button on the infotainment system to N custom screen. Then I customized the widgets to show speed and oil temperature. I made a previous video to explain how to do it.

​@@jsmotorcafe, I took my car to the Vallei dei Templi autodromo and oddly enough, the max temperature was 136C for the oil after some hard laps. I have my suspicions that 136C is the max temperature that can be picked up by the sensor. Or have you gone higher since your response?

@@jsmotorcafe I live in La Palma recently famous because of its volcano. both are beautiful, but absolutely differents. ¿have you any problem with automatic gearbox?

⁠@@politicoinutilDCT is great! Super fast gear changes, not intrusive: it does what you want, doesn’t change gear in stupid ways. If you put it in manual you can hit the rev limiter and it doesn’t change automatically. If you’re on a Track you can leave it in auto and it activates N track sense shift, the car will put the best gear for the curve (take a look at my track day at Magione circuit). Only issue is that the gearbox is not very good in city traffic, it’s not smooth at all

@@jsmotorcafe As a owner of two with DSG gearbox I have to say is a very comfortable, soft and quite fast. But I´ve seen lots of I 30´s videos and in the most of them they say DCT is better than DSG. I hope to discover soon which is my favourite. Thank you very much for answered me. A big hug and happy new year.

I’m a big fan of Mazda, the build quality is superior than Hyundai. What I appreciate about Hyundai N performance division is their goal to create fun cars to drive i20N is also a great car

@@jonathansciacca7033 for sure, the things Hyundai has been trying and accomplishing this past decade is commendable but when it comes to reliability, style and quality.. Hyundai is just not up there yet.
