This prices seem very good but for the locals are crazy expensive.
I would have to think twice before buying a house where the previous owners thought it necessary to install 2 iron security doors inside the main entrance.
I find that thought process interesting, people buy security cameras and alarms everyday in the US. This is normal in Mexico as security measures, plus is iron work which is always appreciated

Gorgeous home! I love that there is a central, homey nucleus, but also a couple separate, private areas if you need some peace and quiet. The mirador views are gorgeous and I love the dark wood touches throughout and well placed windows for optimal light. I wish this was within my budget!

The upstairs apartment looks pretty nice. The price seems pretty reasonable for San Miguel.

A home is worth what someone is willing to pay, forget about asking price US economy collapsing.
It sold for 1M, here is a very stable market
Thanks for making this video. I think what is a big drawback is the narrow staircase leading upstairs. It would be a challenge getting furniture up those stairs as well as moving furniture through the narrow hallway.

Very nice place in fab location. I think if it were 100% updated $1.1 would be reasonable but as it stand $800,000 would be well more than sufficient because as you go through it there are more than several things to do or re-do requires the excess funds to complete.

But I have a few more years in the states and with luck off to Portugal or Spain for the duration. That is the end goal for me! I am ever so hopeful and working towards such. Great space but I agree, they need to upgrade the kitchen and all of the bathrooms at least to the same standards than the master bedroom to even want to ask for such a high price. In my opinion.
Looks like your drone was being attacked by birds there at the beginning. 😆 This is one of the most broken up houses I have ever seen. The rooms are helter-skelter all over. The garages definitely need to be reinstated. You tend to move your camera forward and back a bit much. Don't do that! Lol

Beautiful home. The bones are there, but for $1.1 mil, that's a lot of upgrades to bring it up to the price point. But then again: Location. Location. Location!
The sad part is that the pricing of the homes have increased so much in San Miguel that the locals no longer can afford to live in their ancestral city.
It's funny. I grew up in New York. Over the past few decades, I've watched the safe, clean neighborhood I grew up in slowly taken over by people from the third and developing world -- many of whom arrived illegally. Crime rates exploded, the areas became filthy, and no one respects or upholds the preexisting culture. Instead, the interlopers have chosen to supplant it with a newer, more base culture that favors impulsivity, public drunkenness, random violence, and zero respect for the notion of neighborliness or quiet enjoyment. Whenever I lamented the turn of events, I was called a racist and told that diversity is our strength. So perhaps what's good for the goose is good for the gander and we simply need to accept that population shifts are a reality of this new, globalized world? That way, we don't look like ridiculous hypocrites.

Street parking in that area is very safe
