I think Cena/Lesner was hated by people mostly because it was Cena losing to the Rock and many were hoping to just watch Cena fall further and further while Brock on the other hand had just got back after diverticulitis so he was not at his best at that time. While the match was no 5 star match that was partly because Brock still had some issues but still Cena managed at least to get some what of a good match out of brock. Brock would get better over time but handing him the win too early would be thrusting him in the spotlight when in truth he needed more time to really reach his stride. The haters of cena often ignore this fact because again they just wanted to see cena lose. To be said for it Albert is no light weight and most times big guys try to jump up to help ensure the lifter is not putting in too much effort to lift em but albert is about as easy to lift as Viscera so lifting him is no easy feat especially if there is not much effort to help in that department. Ryback was a little sloppy about it too but neither party seemed to be doing the simple stuff right. Once again it was fans throwing hissy fits because they did not like the story. Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan was part of a long term booking that in essence saved Daniel Bryan. The only problem is some fans have the memory of a goldfish. They remember crumbs instead of cakes so they miss a lot of the stuff inbetween. Daniel Bryan lost but the long term story booking was so well written that it ultimately saved his career in the long run. Besides Sheamus was a far more capable person as champion at the time so having the title on him made sense. This was also the start of the evolution of AJ Lee after Bryan so this was a two birds one stone. It all started with a loss that forced a huge change. This is part of the sad truth that fans at the time did not realize how amazing Santino was. He was so under appreciated but if you look at the video flashbacks of him making people break character you would never know he was that hated by everyone. Sadly this is a case of "Don't know what you got till its gone". That is what ultimately led to him getting pushed out of the wwe. I would love for him to return but I doubt many fans now would remember him except for those who have seen clips of him. This was sadly done for the unpredictability factor and part of a long term booking that probably was set in stone months ago. Cody would manage to get a lucky win despite the odds against him. This sort of thing happens a lot more often than people realize. As part of scripting some matches are already set in stone as they are merely part of a larger story. Sadly although big show was to fight for the title there was never a chance of him winning unless something catastrophic happened which forced a title change. Once again long term booking. Some times people are built up just so they will eventually lose. Ryback may have been a bit green but this was part of the long term story for punk. Punk was always meant to win. They just needed to come up with a believable finish that would work. A crooked ref was a good way to go about it yet not make ryback look entirely too weak. Besides the pipebomb, punk leaving, and the fans souring on ryback is what ultimately doom his career. If ryback had won it would only make punk fans even madder that punk lost the title. Cena to be said for it was a real sport about this regardless of its insanity. Once again it was part of a storyline and john has done a lot of those. As I said before, fans remember the crumbs but forget about the cake.
