It’s now a universal 2. They don’t have the 5 anymore
Hi, thanks for this video. Is the eclip installation necessary?
Excellent info, slow down a bit though 😀. In your opinion is the flat trigger worth $150?
That’s weird key one works better for me. Way tighter fit.
what heat shrink did you use ?
What about the barrel. It’s the same? You can switch barrels?
NO it has the EX GRIP, NOT XL GRIP. X refers to grip, L refers to slide/barrel. They are interchangeable to a certain point.
So basically I can buy an xl frame with xl mags and take my x macro slide and make a comped xl ?
Yes, and then it will still take your 17 rd mags and 12s
Still waiting for the PPS M3, but I love my PPS M1 and I'll never sell it (I actually have two).
Awesome video. Perfectly answered my questions. Thanks!
the only review I seen actually measuring the dif. between the two. Ty sir!
Dude, come on, at least don´t publish it, if your video is not gonna show anything
I used electrical tape
Thank you for the video. I love my P239 in 9 mm!
where can you buy a Spectre compensated slide assembly for a p365xl?
The only place I know of is the sig website. I am sure there are some stores out there that sell them locally, but I haven’t seen any.
I replaced my stock grip with the Wilson combat x macro short on my p365. If you don’t mind me asking, what is the purpose of adding weights in the grip module. What’s the difference between not adding them vs. adding them? Thanks for your feedback.
The weights help with recoil management. They aren’t super noticeable when the mag is full, but as you have less rounds in the mag it helps more with the recoil.
awesome idea with the heat shrink
The manual clearly states not to oil or lubricate the striker. You should just scrub it with the wire brush and then wipe it with a dry cleaning cloth. Lightly lubricate the slide grooves so they glide well but so the lubricant doesn't flow to the striker area. Otherwise, great video.
Thanks for the video.
Thinking about picking up this grip. I was wondering if a modified magazine, specifically a mag guts bottom plate will still fit in the Wilson combat grip.
I don’t know if those magazines will fit or not.
Magguts +2 on a 12 round magazine fits fine with the wilson combat xl grip module. I have all my 12 round magazine modified that way. 14+1 in the chamber and a spare 17 rounder on a small package is a win.
Lost me when you used the screwdriver then the weight to drop out the rear pin… hack attack!
What do you use to pull your pin out? They don’t come with an official tool to take them apart.
Nice, educative
Thank you for this, SERIOUSLY ! I was trying to find out the difference between these two on Sig's own website, but the site is horrible to navigate. Nothing but love to Sig, but their models & variants are getting out of control.
Glad I could help!
I agree, the site sucks
It looks like the P320 XCompact with the 3.6" barrel? 🤔 What optic will you be using?
Yes it is an XCompact ZEV slide. I don’t have any optic in mind for this p320. What would you put on it?
Your camera is out of focus.
Having an insane amount of trouble getting the mag release in. Is the spring supposed to go up against the little wall or go under it? Thanks for the video!
The spring needs to sit in the larger piece and then slide that into the grip module. You can then push the small piece in from the other side with the expanding plastic piece facing out from the grip. Hopefully that helps you understand the process.
I was wondering, if you have the 380, could you buy just the barrel for 9m and swap them whenever you want? Will it fit?
I actually had the same thought and hadn’t tried it yet. No you can not put the 9mm barrel into the .380. The 9mm barrel is much thicker and doesn’t fit into the slide.
@@orangetactical gotcha thanks
Some of your comparisons are inaccurate because you are using a p365 SAS. Very different gun compared to the original p365.
As far as I am aware the only difference is the lack of iron sites on the top and the controls on the side being flush on the SAS. What other differences are there?
I like (and have) both…however since my standard p365 purchased this year is optic ready I’m going to put a red dot sight on it (now that I know how to use one). I’m thinking it is probably more work to do same with my G43 since I don’t think the slide is optic ready.
I am glad you are learning how to use an optic. How do you like it so far? I have have optic carry and non optic carry options depending on what I am doing. The G43 isn’t optic cut. You would have to go get it milled. There is the Glock 43X MOS that is cut.
@@orangetactical I had to take a class on how to use it (including sighting it) . It pretty much made me give up iron sights for most part.
@@orangetactical after learning how to utilize them I much prefer red dot 🔴 over iron sights, however I too have an optic carry (sig p365) and non optic (Glock 43) carry option. Learned that screws need to be torqued to correct specs for Romeo Zero sight on p365 otherwise sight loses contact with battery 🔋 and goes dark still I feel it’s a good sight as I get rounds on target 🎯 with it. Waiting for a vortex defender red dot 🔴 to mount on my 2nd P365.
The XMacro will also take a 10 round magazine. They sell them at the Sig store.
Thanks for doing the leg work on this. Key 5…
(Stop saying umm) Great video content
Is there a small grip module for t and short reach trigger available for the 365x?
I am not sure I understand what you are asking, but the small grip module is the grip module on the standard p365.
"Here let me show you how it's done" as he moves his hands away from the camera and the image blurs 😂😂😂
There is no MOS version of the Glock 43. There is an MOS version of the Glock 43X. You would have to get the slide mill and cut for an optic.
Which holosun is that? Did you need a plate? Does it co-witness with the stock sights? Thanks!
It is the 507k and this sig is older so the optic is the rear site, but I have looked at the 507k on a p365 with the rear sight and the do co-witness. However, I prefer the co-witness of the sig optics (romeoZero and romeoX) better. I don’t have either of the sig optics and have never shot them so I can’t speak to their reliability or durability.
Answered everything I was wondering, thank you for this!!!
Glad I was able to answer your questions.
Streamlight should put a link to this video in their instructions. Gracias, amigo.
Based on how small the differences is in size might as well get an axg legion and get rid of p365xl..
So you would only have xmacros? I like having the different grip module lengths for different ways to carry.
Thanks for the video. I just bought the WC grip module and weights. The video would have been great if you would do the work on camera and also have it in focus. Plus, your camera angel is strange.
Thanks for the feedback. This was an early video so I was just starting to figure out how to record. Not that I much better now 😂
It would be great if someone did a P365 "all variations" video that highlighted the difference in girth between the modules.! Most comparisons seem to just gloss over the girth. Your lighting was great, it had the perfect amount of contrast that showed the difference in length between the grips!
Girth is the same. Only difference is length of the grip/barrel depending on the model
The only difference in the girth/width is when you start looking at the xmacros. I talk about it in those videos.
i would say the X-Macro Tacops is the way to go.
I looked at the tacops but you can’t get it with the comp. Or at least it wasn’t an option when I got mine.
Question. I’m looking between the P365 and P365x. Can we see them side by side with the 12 and 15 round mag dimension? Is it better to get the standard 365 so you can always have it shorter if you want and just add the 12/15 extended mags or are they actually taller that way when in ISE compared to the p365 xl
I did a video going over the p365 models and which ones I would get to start. But, the question is how you like the short grip in your hand. Even with the extended mags they can feel a little different than a full grip module.
If I don’t mind the barrel length, I will go with Desert Eagle 😅
Slow down wow
Good video and good timing, I just got a P365XL and I'm concidering a Wilson grip, is the girth the same as the standard Sig grip or bigger around?
No the Wilson combat is wider. Here is a video I did on the differences. th-cam.com/video/qWmAstpWLmg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=XsKbIufnRfRJ1SAv
@@orangetactical thank you!
Do you think under a high stress situation gun owners could fumble taking out the slim p365 compared to a Glock 26 with a bulkier grip?
If you train well with the p365 then you can pull it under stress. It all depends on what you train with. I have had p365s for years now and train with them constantly so I feel very comfortable carrying them.
Excellent review, I have a Holosun optic for the same setup, but I was able to use the 17 round magazines by purchasing a Variant Innovations sleeve that matches the Wilson Combat plastic and pattern almost perfectly. So unlike what would have been the case if I purchased a Macro length for the Wilson Combat grip module, by using the XL length, I now I have the option to keep the gun as small as possible for carry with 12 rounds flush, OR I can have something the capacity of the Macro that looks good and almost seamless for 17+1. This way I am also able to keep my small (original X length) SAS slide, without having to purchase a compensator, as I would have to do if I used the Wilson Combat Macro grip module. (Because that has too-long a dust cover for an X length slide), and still get to use a 17 round magazine that is aesthetically perfect. In addition to the Holocene optic, I also added the Sig laser. A laser is good for very short distances when you may not have the physical space to properly acquire the sight, when you need to aim without being directly behind the gun (as around an obstacle) or if you are injured and cannot properly extend one or both hands, you know that where you paint the dot, you will get a shot. As a happy aside, I discovered that the laser and the optic can marry easily, and if I ever have any difficulty whatsoever locating the red dot, all I have to do is paint any surface with the laser, look through the glass, and there is the red dot. Poof! Like magic, and I can let go of the laser button. So this makes it, as a happy coincidence, a truly fantastic training option so that you can learn to always acquire the red dot. The other advantage of having the laser is that I have an automatic sighting backup, and I can therefore use the SAS slide, which does not have a front sight with an iridium vial to provide a confusing luminescent dot to visually compete for geography in my very tiny optics window that I cannot turn off like I can a laser. And I keep the anti-snag benefits that SIG has designed for this awesome gun. I was tempted by the Sharps Bros, or Icarus, grip modules because of the added weight, but I really like the ergonomics, and the grippiness, and the look of the Wilson Combat grip module, and like you I also opted to insert the additional tungsten weights. I would add more on that front if I could, and I'm searching for options to add a brass base pad to my magazines. My entire setup with the 17 round magazine, optic, laser, and 17 bullets in a magazine (but none in the chamber) is 29.82 Oz. I happen to think my sweet spot is 35 Oz. -Cheers
Love my P365 AXG Legion! It will be my edc for years to come
I also love my p365 AXG Legion!
Can you put a WC grip on a Sig 365 .380?
Yes they are the same grip on the .380.
