1961 350cc Royal Enfield Bullet - Fitting Boyer Bransden Electronic Ignition
Fitting a Boyer Bransden Electronic Ignition system to a 1961 350cc Royal Enfield Bullet wasn't straight forward with respect to the timing. This bike is subtly different from a lot of other British bikes.

My riding up to Blackpool Tower to join the North West Blood Bikes celebration on 10th May 2022. Volunteer Controllers, fundraisers and bikes joined in for a great get together to celebrate this amazing charity.
I went back to points on my 1992 350cc was sorry I put Boyer in.

Unless you want to put your bike in storage, and never ride it again. Seriously, Boyer ignition systems are crap. If you MUST go for electronic ignition because you can't set points, R.E. makes a factory system that's a direct swap for your breaker point set-up!!
@@callmeanythingbutlatefordinner Im sorry to hear that. I did get mine going and it ran ok. Not the best, but ok. For other reasons I haven't ridden it yet but hope to soon and am going to start it up this weekend. I have to admit, the fact that the instructions were , well er, basically wrong (as you hopefully can see in the video) which makes me think they haven't tried it on an Enfield but recommend it for an Enfield. I DONT KNOW IF THEY HAVE UPDATED THE INSTRUCTIONS YET BECAUSE THEY NEED TO FOR THIS BIKE. I hope you get your bike going, let me know when you do and how the swap system works. Cheers, Tony.
@@Swisztony My bike runs great now, after scrapping the Boyer shit ignition system. Sorry to hear you're still planning to go with it. If you watch my complete playlist, you will see at least 4 different problems plus I just found more problems this week, that are directly related to the Boyer shit ignition system, that I will be posting this weekend. You do know that R.E. makes an electronic ignition system for these bikes now, right? Factory system designed by the manufacturer for direct replacement. Stick with original, never buy after-market, ESPECIALLY ANYTHING FROM BOYER.
