It is crazy. I’ve been noticing a few bugs from the original 90’s releases still in there, but so far this is the worst

Unfortunately, no. I posted a video showing which achievements unlock this way. If I remember correctly, the pistols only and no medkits are the two that will unlock using level skip. There are, however some glitches and shortcuts that cut out sections and sometimes entire levels which make finishing the game in under 5 hours a lot easier. To be honest, even without those, it isn’t crazy hard to do. Just annoying that you have to do yet another run through of the game

@@Shawtypie Thank you for responding & letting me know what it does, I can see why it’s frustrating having to do another run we just have to be thankful that we don’t have to do a full run without using medkits if level skip can get it for us, that would have been a nightmare lol

Nope. There are actually a few achievements for using cheats. Though, I do know at least a couple that won’t unlock if you use cheats, but a good amount still work

And the swan dive is jump+WALK button.

Same. Once I got to the area with the key, I didn't kill any more crocs just in case and I got it in the end!

@@Shawtypie maybe but they've also broken two achievements while they're at it, I would've had 100% unfinished business but the hidden guns/collectable achievement won't pop :')

The collectible achievement never worked. The one for the main game was broken too on release, but they fixed that one in the patch. No one knows why they didn’t fix the UB one. There are also at least 2 trophies on PS that have been broken since the patch….so yeah…. They taking one step forward and three back by the looks of it

This skip only works in TR I unfortunately, so there is no harpoon gun. But I do know that there isn’t an exception in the second game, you just have to dodge all underwater enemies or get onto land and shoot them with pistols. Though shooting them from land isn’t always easy so I wouldn’t recommend going for both achievements in the same run

Thank you for letting me know. I’m going to pin your comment so people can see this information. That’s interesting that you killed crocs before and still got the trophy. Each new patch can, in theory, change the requirements for it. I think we’re in a fragile time right now for the trophies/achievements, because it’s so early and patches are coming out that alter things. Hopefully, eventually, they will manage to patch and fix everything and then we won’t have to worry about a new patch breaking trophies/achievements

@@Shawtypie I heard from the good source that the dev team is very passionate about their game and that they will patch everything that causes problems. It is just a matter of time they say.

I’m just about to re-do this level without killing any crocs and in my previous run of trying to get the achievement I missed the shotgun shells which are just above the shimmy ledge, I will grab them on this run and see if the achievement pops I will also be grabbing the I think it’s uzi ammo which is in the water, the key and the 3 items in the cave with all the crocs

Are you managing to get through with no damage and the trophy just won’t pop? Or can you not get through without taking damage?

@@Shawtypie i never take damage..i restart the level with no save! I make it but dont show up the trophy🥹

@stefanogiacon6088 hmm, in that case I have no idea. You are the third PS player I’ve spoken to that has been having trouble with trophies since the recent update. So I think there maybe just an issue with the PS version in general right now

I’m not sure if it’s bugged, that wouldn’t surprise me. There was a patch the other day and I’ve seen people talking about it screwing with achievements. If you did everything I mentioned in the video and it didn’t unlock, I would probably be inclined to think that it is bugged unfortunately. They fixed one bugged achievement and that looks like it’s broken several others :/ It will be patched if it is broken, it’s just a case of when. Sorry I can’t be more help

@@TheUrbanArcade Its bugged on PS4 but Aspyr are aware of it I tweeted them about it and a few other trophies Bastet's Stash & Cat's Cunning are also bugged on PS4 but if you do a specific workaround that is mentioned on the Tomb Raider forums both of those trophies unlock.

There could be a couple of reasons. I dunno where you’re playing, but I’ve heard there are some issues with the Epic games version. If you level skipped, that might have voided it. I know that there are weird issues with some achievements, like Crocodile Rock not unlocking if you already have the magnums. I worry the same thing might be an issue here, do you already have the uzis? And I’ve also known a specific Xbox issue where the achievement randomly unlocks about a day later. Hopefully something here helps?

@@Shawtypie thank you for answering.. I'm currently playing the remastered version on ps5 And no I don't have the uzis until I reached the trophy's lactation. Crocodile Rock unlocked for me 😊 but not bastet's stash OK I can wait maybe it will unlock in a day hopefully

@mohali7226 I’m glad you got Crocodile Rock, as that one is a pain. Unfortunately the last PlayStation I owned was a PS2 so I have no idea about trophy issues. I have had a little look around and as far as I can see, no one has mentioned any issues regarding this achievement. There is a chance that it has just bugged out for you, or the patch today messed with something, I dunno. Hopefully it will just unlock by itself at some point

Good luck! I’ve yet to find the patience to go through the level again. I really hope they fix the bugged achievements soon, they’re putting out patches doing god knows what but not fixing things like that or the camera issues -.-

Heh... turns out it is not the achievement's itself that are bugged. Descriptions and pictures on Steam don't match with each other. I noticed it when I finished first level. Achievement for finishing Venice level popped up. And I just started that level. I think this exclusive to only Tomb Raider 2 or polish version of the achievements.

@Gregtami I’ve heard of buggy achievements on different platforms before. I only play Xbox, and I’ve also had issue. Achievements popping randomly hours/days later or “stealth popping” where you get no notification but you do get the achievement. I’ve not really had any of that with the remasters yet. But I know there are at least 2 unobtainable achievements in the first game, so….

I use the record function on my Xbox. That doesn’t show things like achievements. It may not work any more if they’ve patched it, which I imagine they will pretty quickly. There’s not really much I can do to prove this works, except tell you to look it up, I’m sure there are others that have done videos. I got my information on it from Trueachievements

@@mitchbuff unfortunately, I’ve not been able to replicate this with the other two games. II won’t pop when I get to the end and III has the Nevada section, where you don’t have your weapons for almost an entire level. I can’t see why it won’t work on the second game though. If you want to try for yourself, the level skip cheat is almost the same for the second game, you just need to light a flare before you do the rest of the steps. And if you don’t light a flare when you do it, Lara will explode. There is an achievement tied to that

Yeah there are some really odd ones. But there are also some really nice nostalgic ons that you immediately know what to do as soon as you see the title xD

By all means, try it. I could’ve fucked up somewhere. There are a few levels that start on long underwater segments, and you obviously need to get through them before you can skip. I know I drowned at least once, so maybe that screwed it up

@@Shawtypie that's how I feel, I kept accidentally pulling out Lara's other guns with the shortcuts but I never shot so I'm curious if just having them equipped kills the run

Yeah my kid was swimming and I couldn't get out. This remaster is all messed up. Luckily the og controls and look pulled thru

@@nicbass7360yes I do. The second thing you need to look at is a Sundial in Midas. It’s in the room with lots of plants. If you’re still confused, I am planning to make a guide for that achievement later today

That’s a thing I’ve heard about with these “Look at” achievements. Some people say that they just had to stand in front of the things, others (me included) had to actually use the “Look” button to get the achievement pop

Im currently live streaming the games right now. I just finished 2 last night and probably will stream the Expansion tonight. Once that's done I'll do my run of 3. They're more of a challenge run but once they're done I'll be doing walkthroughs level by level and I'll do timestamps for ya
