I bought the 5m as I needed the extra cable. But 3m should be sufficient

Oil separator, crankcase ventilation. Allows pressure to escape from the crankcase and catches the oil that travels with the gases and returns it into the engine.

@@starkfredrikv70 sort of, it acts more as a separator. No you shouldn't need to empty it as it feeds back into the engine

Any euro 6 diesel engines I would recommend replacing the oil and filter every 6-8k miles due to oil dilution from regenerations. Fuel filter would depend on quality of fuel being used. Typically 20k miles or every other service

Yes engine oil warning can be if it's too high or too low. Or even if it hasn't been serviced and reset correctly

On this particular car I went in through the upstream pressure sensor pipe. Any accessible location before the dpf, heat sensor, O2 sensor, differential pressure sensor. Etc

hi mate,thank you so much for your reply. is this sensor located on the drivers side as i cannot,for the life of me,see the pipe as i need to try and clean it .many thanks

@@bobjames-k2u yea drivers side, some variants wont have that sensor so you will need to locate the differential pressure sensor or another entry point

There are a few different variants of the 7 speed dsg gearbox. Your DG500 is generally used on heavier applications with high torque. Even though it's appearance is different the servicing will be the same.

The dealerships often change the service intervals for certain items. Last I heard it was 70k miles which is about 120,000km. Personally I'd recommend every 40k miles. Thanks

It will prime the filter by turning the ignition on and off a couple of times, but I find if you do it via the scan tool the vehicle will start alot better. This minimizes the chance of running your high pressure fuel pump dry and potentially causing damage.

No automatic gearbox should be sealed for life. The way the gearbox works it's by pressure and numerous clutches which are designed to slip. This slipping will cause debris in the oil over time. Personally I'd recommend every 40-50k miles. If your call TPS I'm sure they will give you a quote for a service kit, along with their recommendations for intervals.

It's always recommended to lubricate the sliders with fresh grease

Same advice for any car purchase really. Ensure there's a good service history, reasonable warranty and arrange for an independent inspection of the vehicle prior to purchase.

Atleast 6 months warranty that covers major components. If your buying from a dealer you should be fine 👍

3 cylinder engines will always have slightly harsher vibrations due to the balancing of the engine. Completely normal on these cars

Clamp the caliper brake pipe before fitting the new one, then you'll only need to bleed that caliper 👍
