Music is beautiful

I usually don't enjoy the theme music that is composed (post-mortum?) for films (Titanic, etc, even some John Williams pieces. Though, it's natural that the soundtrack ought to be subordinated to the film, eh?), but this one is actually good in its own right, not just as an appropriate accompanying piece to a film! Such repetitive treatments of thematic material is often boring, but not here! (Though it all too often is- but that's likely B/C I enjoy music more than film- to each their own. (Ludovico Enauldi (sp?) I mean- vis his boring, simple, sophomoric semi-fugeal predictably- just attempted tearjerkers, which... Well, it's just pop, imho- though, to be fair, it's not like that I could do any better!) But, give me Vangelis any time over L.E... again, just IMHO! (If we all had the same taste the world would get pretty boring pretty fast!) Edit: I went deep into a digression there- what really meant to say is that I really dig this music, wheras I would generally not enjoy the composition and composer and performance!

Watched the dvd I found in a thrift store great and sad movie

TERIFFIC STUFF BUT AS NEARLY ALWAYS BASED ON A TRUE STORY THIS US STUFF- I mean it could be the national anthem this theme - to good, simple and proud!

Fun fact, the book is called rocket boys and the author refused to call the movie anything else. Till they showed him October Skies which is an anagram. It spells Rocket Boys and he was okay with that

I watched a few rockets disintegrate right after launch due to some failure in the chute deployment system. I'm editing the video of said failures for my rocket group right now. They'll get a kick of the slo-mos with these playing over the background.

this was a great song to use honoring the dead in the Oak Lawn IL tornado of 1967 i too am a survivor of this horrific disaster as i always say i looked the grim reaper in the eye and he turned away i am here to tell the heart felt story LOLa Productions did a excellent job using this score it is sad and fitting for the terror we saw that day,

Love this theme. Go listen to the Andrea Bocelli theme with Dua Lipa-If Only. Similar feeling and some of the same chords. This song was first so all credit to that but both songs have a similar sound and feeling. Both are Great!
