McKinney Fall is a beautiful state park.

So, do you think a Winnebago RV would have a hard time getting down in the canyon? We bought that over trailers because it felt easier to control compared to trailers. This park is on my bucket list.

Lake Catherine is not what it used to be. Heber Springs has two parks and trusty me when I say they would've beat Lake Catherine out of the ballpark for slot number 1. Especially the dam site campsite, that backs up to the Red River.

Watched this and you are a geek. North Louisiana has some beautiful state parks. I give you 👎👎👎👎👎.

Next time after reaching the stall temperature. Instead of wrapping with foil try putting the roast in a aluminum pan add a little beef broth and cover with foil to finish the cook. Should come out moist and tender. I have the same Z Grill and the aluminum pan fits perfectly.

Bastrop is pretty but the road noise is awful! I thought Buescher was pretty and their trails are awesome! I love the CCC structures at both.

Vogel is the most over rated park in the country. Cut my week long resevation to one day, two nights. Never going back.

600 miles west, at Hueco Tanks, you can see huge rocks with large polished areas areas on them... These are known as 'Mammoth Rub' where the giant beasts would rub and scratch their backs.

Thanks for the video. All the parks you mentioned are wonderful and difficult to rank. My #1 has been Petit Jean. For another one that is close to the city, Pinnacle Mt. allows city dwellers a wonderful outdoor experience just minutes from downtown.

Yea I've been living in between the Bastrop and buesher all my life when I was a kid I would ride my bike every afternoon to fish there I caught many 9 and 8 pound Bass out of that lake. been about 5 years I havet gone to fish there It's only 2 miles away. I'm going this weekend thanks for the reminder. Now I'm 47.

Your not on the Gulf of Mexico there. It’s matagorda bay. The gulf is on the other side of Port O’Connor.

Great video I use to live in Bastrop Texas for quite a while really nice small town charm and one of the things that I extremely enjoyed was going to both of the state parks that are connected together the drive is amazing seeing all the pine trees and just enjoying nature both of those Parks actually have quite a bit to offer as far as hiking and biking and they also have that swimming pool area which is nice and big giant playground for the kids and of course now we live in Liberty Hill Texas so every chance we get we still go to Bastrop to visit friends and family and when we do of course we always stop by Buc-ee's before we go to the State Park👍🏻👍🏻

Nice video! We stayed there 5his past July in the Oak Haven Loop site 19 and it was fantastic! In fact, our next video will be about Buescher. Nice little gem of a park if you ask me. We live in San Antonio, so it wasn't far either. Great video content you have. I subscribed!
