Can you do a meditation for when the back/hip is locked. How to unblend that certain part. Do you rescue the part. Ive rescued several parts to come into the present to come and live with me or go to beach or woods. Also when do you unburden a part.
Thanks again for your comment. I'm not sure if I'll be able to do a specific meditation on this. However, this one might be helpful. faithfullygrowing.com/podcast%2Fblog/f/ifs-meditation-checking-in-with-parts-that-arise-pain?blogcategory=Explorations

@@MaBoJo1 you’re welcome. Thanks for the comment!
My question to you is will core beliefs change if you do an unburdening?
Or do you continue to experience the core belief throughout your life?
@@dl1137 Thanks for your question! Once unburdening happens, the core belief held by the part can shift significantly, but whether you continue to experience the core belief throughout your life depends on how fully the unburdening process has unfolded. Ideally, unburdening allows the part to release the belief and adopt a more balanced, supportive perspective aligned with the Self. However, it's possible that remnants of the belief might still come up from time to time, especially if other parts are still holding similar burdens or if old triggers arise. The key is ongoing integration and self-leadership-when parts are fully healed and supported, the old core belief loses its power. If you notice the belief resurfacing, it may be an invitation to revisit those parts and deepen the healing process.
Thank you!

Yea but Tim where are , or ‘were the exiles (yours 🤷🏻♂️) underneath them - those ‘parts - the thoughts, feelings, experiences etc. Not asking you to divulge but isn’t that the idea 🤷🏻♂️? the agenda 🤷🏻♂️ the idea - mission - to ‘get to our exiled parts ? I Get that we have all these ‘parts - many, ‘depending, n they can be ‘neutral as well, but the ‘emotions, you’re explaining and expressing - were you able to tie that in 🤷🏻♂️ or, learn from 🤷🏻♂️ heal ? something ?
@@user-jm6ds5dz3t thanks for your comment. Yes, ultimately getting our parts whether they’re protectors or exiles out of their extreme roles so that our system can be more balanced and healed his goal. I really appreciate you engaging here. Feel free to reach out anytime.

And my parts are quieter tonight. I was told its them that keep me awake ruminating in my head for 2-4 hours...
@@millionairemom thanks for the suggestion!
Where do you go ‘during this ‘mechanism ? 🤷🏻♂️ Where does, as you call ‘the Self’ go ? Talk to me about that process n if ya don’t know say ya don’t know , or’re not sure, or hmm 🤔. Where do you think ? ‘What do you think ?
In Internal Family Systems (IFS), the Self doesn't actually go anywhere, but it can get obscured or blended with parts that are more active. When we’re overwhelmed or strongly identified with a part-whether it's anger, fear, or any other intense feeling-our connection to the Self can feel distant or lost. But the Self is always present, it's just a matter of unblending from the parts so we can reconnect with that calm, compassionate center. Sometimes that process happens through mindfulness, grounding, or simply noticing what's happening inside us with curiosity and compassion. If we're not aware, it might feel like the Self has disappeared, but it's still there-waiting for us to return to it. Please keep reaching out with your questions. I'm glad to learn and grow right along with you!
Thanks for your wisdom 🙏

Learning how one critic or part can trigger another. Being "in-self is being in the present moment".
Yes, and making space for those parts that react it key. They're doing the best they can and bring us gifts too!
Great tool to calm my inner critic!
@@janegardner604 thanks so much. I appreciate the feedback and I’m glad it’s helpful!
Thank you for this meditation. I realized during this process how much shame I experience because I get triggered. There is a part of me that knows my emotions are out of proportion to the events at hand - it creates fear that I might act inappropriately at the triggering moment and then subsequent shame that I even had that internal reaction to begin with.
Thanks so much for your courage in sharing, mark. So grateful for you!

For me, it definitely feels excruciatingly slow. And yet, I believe that's just the reality of the trauma healing journey. It's a hard slog, at least in the beginning. But I've come to believe there's no other way to heal trauma other than to learn to turn with love to the parts of us that carry this trauma. Too many other modalities promise a way to self-empowerment and self-leadership that somehow avoids the need to engage in a relationship of compassionate curiosity with our traumatized parts. But there are no shortcuts, in my experience. No way to spiritually bypass the task of learning to relate lovingly to our traumatized parts. And IFS is a powerful modality to use in this journey . I suspect once a baseline level of self-compassion and self-care and self-confidence have been awakened within, the process picks up speed exponentially with time.
Yes. I so appreciate your courage in sharing your experience here. I’m grateful for this community and that you’re part of it!
I tried a 'normal ' meditation earlier and it made me more anxious, so tried this one and it was helpful and somewhat calming. Also discovered parts have stuff to say, so will journal around that. Thank you for uploading this 💗
