Child of the nineties unite

I can’t believe the film was released back in 2000. That’s 24 years ago for me. How time flies. But yeah, the film wasn’t great compared to the TV series but the music and animation was still beautiful.

Well Too Bad They Didn’t Do a Live Action Version Of Vampire Hunter D back in the 80’s!

This was the first anime movie I ever saw. I saw it at a meeting of the Chicago MegaZone anime club. (During that short period when they used to meet in the basement room of the Oak Park Public Library.) No subtitles. Japanese only. I was so impressed by the movie that I ordered Arion from Books Japan out in LA the following week. The yen was ridiculously strong then, so it was a pricey purchase indeed. Did not regret it at all though. I loved that movie. Still do. Need to reacquaint myself with Lesfina, Seneca, and Arion, again sometime soon.
