This Danceform was actually formed in Kumaun Uttarakhand and influenced in Garhwal and Nepal....
Nope it was long formed in West Nepal
Uttarakhand used to be in greater Nepal so you know what I mean.
@@swasg427 Haa haa nice joke This dance form is definitely from Kumaun. It is not found in any place of nepal. Kumaun is very near to Doti so it is influenced by it. At Katyuri age time this dance form was done in the King's court as a martial dance form with Dhol damuwa and Swords to respect the King. For more details and Information about this Danceform you should check the book The History Of Kumaun -Badridatt Pandey.
@@moktan289 Yes It was only for something 10 to 15 years. But the age of Katyuri empire the whole far western Nepal was under them. So the Kumauni culture and language influenced in Doti.
Farwest nepal was part of katyuri kingdom(kartikeypur/kurmanchal) and doti was one of their kingdom. Isi wajah se farwest nepal me ye culture hai. Garhwal kumaon aur nepal k purvaj khas the. History padh lo thoda
