The escape boats are mounted high above the water & on a high angle. It appears the mountings are launch ramps, for the boats to slide down & into the water. This would seem like a dangerous way to get the boat into the water, with the slide, fall & impact of the boat into the water.

Great video,I just got into a bit of spotting myself. I have a place to go about 20 minutes from my house on a motorbike. The average sized vessel that passes by is about the 88 long 13 wide size. If you live nearby where your vids are recorded that`s cool.
