We are Jeff & Caroline. For over 20 years we’ve spent as much of our free time as possible exploring the country as well as other parts of the world and we are always up for new adventures!
As with many of you, the pandemic prompted us to reassess our lives and focus on what is really important. As a result, we dramatically restructured our work situations and left our home on the west coast in pursuit of a more nomadic lifestyle. We have relocated to the center of the country, as it makes a perfect launching pad for our travels.
In late 2021 we decided to share our adventures with friends, family and those who are interested in coming along for the ride. We are not travel guides, photographers or videographers. We are just two people who have a genuine appreciation for all the world has to offer. We are happy to share our experiences with you and hope they bring joy and positivity into your life.

I don't eat hot dogs anymore but I lived in PCB as a kid and used to love going to Tom's Hotdogs! It was nice to see their sign after so many decades.
Im in enid
I was born and live here. I am about 9 miles from down town
Your stabilizer is broken. I love the video but it bugged me the whole time 😂
Dear Friends, The Brick Town Brewery at 5:13 in the video has burned down. A fire that was started in the kitchen gutted the building in early November. The owners have decided to demolish the building that was built in 1890. They will try to rebuild it the best they can to resemble the original architecture. Fort Smith was sad. There are several clips on our local channel 5 news about the fire and how each day went afterwards until the decision to demolish the building. At least y'all had lunch there before this happened. th-cam.com/video/eRm3U-PMJ-c/w-d-xo.html Also here is a later clip of the decision to demolish the building th-cam.com/video/Hm6yQgbDJs4/w-d-xo.html
So sorry to hear that! Always sad when old buildings are lost. Thanks for watching.
Florida sucks. Stay away
Watching video from India , very nice video
Thanks for watching!
Salina is a terrible town full of miserable people.
I’m enjoying your videos. You like the same kinds of towns I do. Keep up the good work!! Oh, and as a street artist myself I love that you usually include shots of the local street artist!
Thanks for your kind words and thank you for watching!
Studied PhD at the University of Southern Mississippi
Thanks for watching!
It is a nice video. I was thinking that it has a feeling of a ghost town. I do not see that many people on the streets.
Thanks for watching. We do try to keep people out of our videos when possible, so often it looks less crowded than it actually is.
Looks like a ghost town, no people, no cars
Thank YOU for stopping in our small town! I watched until the end. You had our Museum of History in the video and our Monument of Darby. YES, Ft Smith is sort of dead-on Sundays. There is action on Friday and Saturday nights, but not like it used to be. Covid really hurt downtown, and it has never recovered from stores and places closing. The city is trying to bring business back. There is a lot to see there. Our current Miss America is from Fort Smith, Madison Marsh. Fort Smith up against the river was the farthest that white man advanced in the old days as Indian Territory was not tamed or explored and so criminals dominated the land between Fort Smith and California. All of the U.S. Marshals sent out to the west came from Judge Parker of Fort Smith. Bass Reeves, Wyatt Earp, Wild Bill Hickok, Bat Masterson, John Armstrong and many more were all sent out by Hanging Judge Parker of Fort Smith. I wanted to share a video that we just published about Fort Smith being sister cities with Cisterna, Italy. You featured our Darby monument in your video and so Brigadier General Darby tried to save Cisterna Italy from NAZI Occupation in WWII. The battle was lost and Darby lost most of his Rangers, but his effort weakened the German defenses that surrounded Rome, and the allied forces were able to take Cisterna and eventually Rome due to the actions of Colonel Darby and his Rangers. Colonel Darby was killed later in Northern Italy in the last days of the war in Italy while riding his motorcycle to the front lines as he always did. He was in a huddle with his staff planning on an attack when an artillery shell exploded near him killing him. Cisterna, Italy never forgot his efforts in WWII and in 1984, they reached out to Fort Smith to establish a relationship as they named their main street and schools and landmarks after Darby as a sign of appreciation and respect for what Darby tried to do in WWII. The relationship was established in 1984 but had its ups and downs over the years. Covid shut down the foreign Exhange students from going back and forth from Grade Schools to college, but in recent years the city is trying to bring it back. Fort Smith just celebrated its 40 Year anniversary with Cisterna and that is what MY VIDEO is about here. Also, as I type this on Monday October 21st, 2024, our Fort Smith Delegation is in Cisterna as they are reciprocating the celebration there in Italy. So, our city of Fort Smith is on an upward trajectory finally and hopefully will be alive again! From Brian Baker Sr, U.S. Army Retired, Thank YOU for your video! th-cam.com/video/faDl9xR7awI/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for sharing all of this history and your video. We enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
❤great job , thanks
Thanks for watching!
I love the effort that was put into making this video. I'm actually a nurse trying to apply for a hospital located there in Dodge City and I got curious about the surrounding area near that hospital. I wasn't able to find many review or tour videos about Dodge City, but thank God I found your video. Learned a lot, and kudos to the great music background, and relaxing narration by the way. Cheers!
Good luck to you and thanks for watching!
My grand dad was the official photographer of the Poncan Theatre for many years until his death in 2015, his adopted dad lived in Ponca since at least the 1930s and was one of the early projectionists for the theatre (A picture of him Raymond Cox is still in the lobby of the theatre). Haven't been back since grandpa died but seeing as I'm only a couple hours away I'd love to make the trip back sometime, visit family in the cemetery and get some wet plate photos of some of the historic spots in honor of my family who grew with the city over the past 100 years or so.
That is so cool! Thanks for sharing.
my parents lived there for 35 years before passing away. Loved Burger Barn.
I love my city so much. I appreciate you guys making this video. I need to appreciate this town more.
Been there a couple of times and now moving there from Philly suburbs. A lot a great reminders with interesting unknown things thrown in. Makes me want to be there sooner. Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Everything like house, shopping mall, entertainment, and more should transfer to Douglas, Ga not only making Douglas, Ga biggest city also more people would reside in this district and more entertainment for many tourist different territory collaborate the funds improve the smaller town.
Someone described the Mississippi Gulf Coast as the Poor Man's Key West.He is probably correct considering how expensive Key West is
This town is a testimony to human resilience. Rebuilding a city that was all but completely destroyed is amazing. Napoleon Hill had a saying that summarizes the locals very well. He said, "Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve." The folks in Pass Christian could be role models for us all. Great video, thank you.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
In town There was a strip mall there. It had a Publix; McCory; and a pet store called Animal House.
We love the appalachiacola port st joe area and visit every chance we get. Funny thing is we are from helen georgia where the head of the Chattahoochee river is. I have stood with the Chattahoochee flowing between my feet. Yes the Chattahoochee turns into the appalachiacola at the florida line and its mouth is ofcourse the appalachiacola bay.
Thanks for watching!
Headed home there this week!
Can’t stop singing Avenues and Alleyways by Tony Christie now! Probably look for Amarillo next.
Thanks for watching!
Good video ❤
Thank you!
wish y'all could have walked another block down the road behind the Library. there was a Elem and Middle school and a church and the cemetery at the same corner. You would have found it very interesting. Also the town next to the Pass, heading East is Long Beach.. Also a small town but a little bit bigger! Hope you can come back again for an all day visit. Safe travels!
Thanks for watching and for the recommendations!
I love Salina ❤
Thanks for watching!
I'm from Louisiana but, in 1986, marched in a world championship drum and bugle corps from Hutchinson called the Sky Ryders (TH-cam Sky Ryders drum and bugle corps). The corps was nationally very competitive for many years. The corps left the Hutchinson area in the early 90's and moved to Dallas. We stayed and rehearsed at Hutchinson Community College. I enjoyed my time there.
How cool! Thanks for sharing.
Your video is light years ahead of 90% of the travel videos I've seen. Most of those videos are shot from cars and are terrible. Fleeting glances of the buildings and homes are all you get when filming from a moving car. Thank you for the extra effort it took to make this video. Wayne Dyer used to say, "It's never crowded along the extra mile." Please keep up the good work.
Thank you for your kind words! We are glad you've enjoyed them and hope you've seen some of our more recent videos....we think they've improved over time! Thanks for watching.
@@bagspackedadventures5492 Your welcome. I love travel videos and especially Kansas and small towns. I spent most of my life in California, hence my affinity for small, less congested towns. I'll definitely visit your website again. Take care.

You totally missed the Military Heritage Museum. Right before you turn into Fishermen Village. Big building with a hug Huey Helicopter in front yard of the building. A must see. 17,000 square feet inside. Thousands of artifacts, plus 247 seats, the Gulf Theater inside. 900 W. Marion Ave.
That will give us something to check out next time. Thanks for watching and for the recommendation!
I moved to N Georgia in 2017. Before that, I grew up and lived in the Palatka/Bostwick area all my life. Thank you for showing my hometown.
