The Kingdom of Medo-Persia | Dan. 2:31-39a | Michael Chalmers
In our last message from the book of Daniel, we looked at the Kingdom of Babylon as the first of the prophesied kingdoms to rise and fall. In each of the next messages we will look at the subsequent kingdoms of which the prophet spoke, including this message on the Kingdom of Medo-Persia. Though little is specified in Daniel 2 of the nature of this reign, the Bible in fact has much greater detail than you might expect. Watch as we look at this fascinating second empire through the lens of Scripture.

When a Wicked Man Rules | Prov. 29:2 | Michael Chalmers

In the last message we have looked at the rise of the righteous from Proverbs 29:2a, which is attended by rejoicing. In this message we will look at what happens when an evil ruler emerges from Proverbs 29:2b, which results in suffering. As we watch with great interest the emergence of a new government in the US under Donald Trump, and as we anticipate an election sometime this year, it’s impor...

God Came Down: The World Needs the Incarnation | Selected Scriptures | Aaron Haynes
มุมมอง 29หลายเดือนก่อน
During this season of celebration, we love to speak of Emmanuel, God with us. One of the Bible’s most beloved and distinguishing teachings, the coming of God as man is what we call the incarnation of Christ. But why was it crucial for our Saviour to possess both natures? Why need a human representative for a job God could complete? Our study of the incarnation will confirm the intentions, compa...

This message explores the wonder of the incarnation and the miracle of the virgin birth. The teaching surrounding this greatest of all births continues to astound and amaze us today. But the birth of Christ, much like the cross of Christ and the resurrection of Christ, has been attacked from many angles by biblical critics and skeptics through the past 200 years. Have we outgrown this story of ...

    My wife and I watched most of your live You Tube broadcast last night. We were truly blessed to listen to our Jewish brother share his testimony and what is going on in Israel. Thank you for posting this. My wife and I have been born again Christians for a number of decades now.We believe with our whole heart that God has a plan for Israel still in the future with the return of Christ. And even today as well. Despite the sad reality that there is a growing number of churches and those who call themselves "christian" who are becoming more hostile or even just indifferent to Israel and the Jewish people. Thank you Prairie Chapel for standing with our Jewish brothers and sisters in Christ. It was beautiful to hear of the true born again salvation experience coming to so many in Israel. Truly enjoyed this video and the message. Thank you for still singing some of the old familiar hymns of the faith as well. I will be sharing this video with a few friends who believe as we do. I wish Prairie Chapel was closer to Alberta. Maybe one day we will be able to make it for a visit.

    God's Moral Will vs Sovereign Will

  • @Theo_Skeptomai
    @Theo_Skeptomai 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hello. I am an atheist. I define atheism as suspending any acknowledgment as to the reality of any particular god until sufficient credible evidence is presented. My position is that *_I currently have no good reason to acknowledge the reality of any god._* And here is why I currently hold to such a position. Below are 10 facts I must consider when evaluating the claim made by certain theists that a particular god exists in reality. To be clear, these are not premises for any argument which _concludes_ there to be no gods. These are simply facts I must take into account when evaluating the verity of such a claim. If any of the following facts were to be contravened at a later time by evidence, experience, or sound argument, I would THEN have good reason to acknowledge such a reality. 1. I personally have never observed a god. 2. I have never encountered any person who has claimed to have observed a god. 3. I know of no accounts of persons claiming to have observed a god that were willing or able to demonstrate or verify their observation for authenticity, accuracy, or validity. 4. I have never encountered any _valid_ logical argument, which also introduced demonstrably true premises that lead deductively to an inevitable conclusion that a god(s) exists in reality. 5. Of the many logical syllogisms I have examined arguing for the reality of a god(s), I have found all to contain a formal or informal logical fallacy or a premise that can not be demonstrated to be true. 6. I have never observed a phenomenon in which the existence of a god was a necessary antecedent for the known or probable explanation for the causation of that phenomenon. 7. Several proposed (and generally accepted) explanations for observable phenomena that were previously based on the agency of a god(s), have subsequently been replaced with rational, natural explanations, each substantiated with evidence that excluded the agency of a god(s). I have never encountered _vice versa._ 8. I have never experienced the presence of a god through intercession of angels, divine revelation, the miraculous act of divinity, or any occurrence of a supernatural event. 9. Every phenomenon that I have ever observed has *_emerged_* from necessary and sufficient antecedents over time without exception. In other words, I have never observed a phenomenon (entity, process, object, event, process, substance, system, or being) that was created _ex nihilo_ - that is instantaneously came into existence by the solitary volition of a deity. 10. All claims of a supernatural or divine nature that I have encountered have either been refuted to my satisfaction or do not present as _falsifiable._ ALL of these facts lead me to the only rational conclusion that concurs with the realities I have been presented - and that is the fact that there is *_no good reason_* for me to acknowledge the reality of any particular god. I have heard often that atheism is the denial of the Abrahamic god. But denial is the active rejection of a substantiated fact once credible evidence has been presented. Atheism is simply withholding such acknowledgment until sufficient credible evidence is introduced. *_It is natural, rational, and prudent to be skeptical of unsubstantiated claims, especially extraordinary ones._* I welcome any cordial response. Peace.

      Thank you for your inquiry. Have you seen the two videos on sovereignty posted so far? These are related to the power of God more than His existence but do provide answers on a moral and spiritual level that cannot be answered by natural phenomena. Happy to provide resources however, which direct to great and sufficient answers to your questions. Each of your questions we have responded to in the past and do have excellent answers. One of the important factors is to remember that naturalism alone cannot explain good and evil, love, and other very real and observable truths. You must have more than mere Darwinism and atheism to account for your judgments of reality. Appreciate your desire for cordial conversation.

    Regarding the concept of Replacement Theology there are really two distinctly separate issues: 1) Did the new testament ekklesia replace the old testament ekklesia? 2) Is the nation of Israel elect and restored to God at the return of the Son of man as King? Both covenant theology and dispensationalism have elements of Biblical truth, and both have grievous error. I believe the Father's heart is sorrowed by sons and daughters who place their faith in ~isms and ~ologies.

  • @carlosreira2189

    None of this has much to do with Romans 5. And creation itself cries out for "the manifestation of the sons of God." Here son is the Greek "huios" suggesting maturity. And if climate change is hysteria, you need to account for why it says, "not by water, but fire next time" in the words of the African spiritual. Now, we are indeed justified by faith, but faulty faith, such as you teach, is not as effectual as sound.

      Speaking about His love for "His people" is not a denial of love for the world but is an acknowledgement that Scripture does use the language of "His people" in His mission to save. Matthew 1:21 says, "She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins."
