That is a great piece of land away from the city and homes to build an inviting place for family fun. Why not build a redwood themed family fun park with a competitive go kart track, and all the other fun amenities and activities. Crescent City just doesn’t have anything for families like that.. I don’t know. It just seemed like a fun idea.

Nice clear day. No smoke. Fortunately for much of the state the smoke is blowing east. We have good air quality in the bay area as well and 70s. Stoney deserves a snake skin collar made out of his snapper. His face looks good. Healing. Lucky. Good care. 👋👱‍♀️

Seems like there's a lot of places named devil's punchbowl. There are so many dead trees, wondering if this is due to beatle infestations. You will see lots of I'll or dead Madrone trees in my area (Douglas County, Oregon) due to the local lumber company coming up with a fungus that kills hardwoods. They didn't want the Madrones interfering with the Fir trees. What made them think the fungus would only stay in the logging areas is ludacris. That's what I was told. I called the Oregon Extension for help saving the Madrones on my property. Was told I couldn't, still tried using fungicides. Eventually had them taken out. 💔

Seems strange that carpenterville country is so different than del Norte back country..

Mike where's the lookout from there? Been all around there but never to bear basin. Next time I will make it a point to go there. And I wouldn't be surprised if I would find a track or two. Gods country.

At 1:25 I've hauled a lot of logs over the Bosley Butte Road. As you're flying back to Carpenterville Road, you'll see a logging road curving up the hill, heading West. That was logged in the early 80's. It was very steep coming off the top. I had a two wheel drive 1965 Ford pick-up and was towing a trailer. It was close to two cords. I made the wife and three daughters walk off the steep part because the pick-up had a single master brake cylinder and I didn't want to chance blowing a brake line with the family in the cab..........Made it fine though.(:>)

Klamath gets a suspension bridge over a shitty little creek. Took 4 years. The cleanest, greatest river left on the coast gets a cement over pass. I'm calling bullshit on the state and the tribes. The most beautiful river in the state deserves a real iconic bridge. Not just more bullshit concrete. The money wasted here is criminal.
