3 months into learning on a childs guitar the best i could my aunt gave me one of this mans signed guitars and i started looking up vids. Im still super new so im only able to do like 20 minutes into this vid the rest i need to learn muscle memory but wow im excited after this. I wanna master this first whole lesson now. I was already excited 34 years old never got into it always wanted to and aparently im learning fast as im told. I still feel suppperr new but this has got to be the best tutorial ive seen as far as motivation goes.

The guy is a great guitarist. I will give him that. It’s his guitars that are sold that are not so great. I’ve had a couple so it’s from personal experience that I know they are not the best made and keeping them in tune can be a challenge all that aside the man is a great guitarist

@45.47 he puts his left hand third finger on third fret 4th string, BUT, what does he play on right hand? 4-3-1? 4-1?, 3-4-1? I cant seem to get right hand placement. thanks

Not sure how old you are but as. Small boy I remember hearing this played with the Apollo space mission and for the last several years hearing it from memory thought it was Irish. Not one person I asked about the music with he Apollo mission had a clue. It was full orchestra and very lively likened to Irish Washer Woman. Finding this blew me away. Thanks so much. Looking at learning some flamenco rumba . So looking at classical guitars hat he strings can be lowered for flamenco, Disabled, spinal stenosis inside the spinal column so no treatment or surgery . Basically the column narrows, puts pressure on the spinal cord and I end up taking a new journey. Crazy, unpredictable, liged three places from my daughters dishwasher and BLAM, hit the floor. Had to be ery conscious about movements, winter is the worst. What I can do for a hour or so is sit without issues. Interested in a bidet classical that's flamenco favorable, any durations?

Good straightforward intro lesson. All the other stuff aside, he seems like he genuinely cares about getting novice guitarists started off on the right foot.

This teacher has an extraordinary method: chords and passing-notes. So, you start from the CHORDS and then combine with the melody. This is absolutely great, you don´t need any notes and you remember every piece of music. First harmonic structure und THEN melody. Great and very motivating - thank you, Esteban!!

I have joked about the mysterious guy on guitar, but he's a very very good guitarist and an exceptional teacher. I won't even joke about him now because of his talent and passion for music. A true Bohemian is always a tad eccentric, from Segovia, to Boy George, etc.

lost muscle strength and have tendon cramps, less speed,ten years have not played to snuff,my former snuff could play the tarrega tremelo study recuerdos de la ahlambre,spanish eyes as tremelo ( tune down !st string one whole note) a bouree,villa lobos prelude, number one,3 pieces for lute ( segovia album,art of the classical guitar) o sole mio,,,first teacher years before I learned the above wanted no nails a curved hand slightly flat over the strings,,I found it impossible,,,,years later I went back to it,trying parkenings style,,bingo,with this i could build up speed volume and precision,

It's a nice-looking guitar but I don't understand why he's using a ton of reverb on it. What is the name of this model? Update: I think this is the Esteban Malaguena C-100 Classical Electric / Acoustic Guitar. I wish I had got one when they were available. I watched a lot of his appearances on Home Shopping Network when he promote his guitars but I missed this one.

He omits where you have to wear the hat and sunglasses to achieve that sound.

UPDATE Squeeze means to play the strings together by yes squeezing them. And pedal means to repeatedly pluck the string. Hope this helps.

I first heard Estaban in the late summer of 1985. I had just moved to Arizona and went to an open air arts and crafts show in Cave Creek, AZ and there was Estaban selling his very 1st CD. My wife and I then kind of followed Estaban when he played at different venues around Phoenix. We have all of his CDs signed by him. Just wish these old fingers could work to reach all of the chords.

I'm beginning guitar and the thing im trying to master is holding the guitar right and positioning my hands into the arch as Esteban says. It's annoying right now but Im sure Ill get it eventually
