I went on a 36-minute walk starting from the Sainsbury's Local store in Preston, Paignton. I went down Manor Road, passed the Redcliffe Hotel, then walked on the beach until I reached Paignton Pier. From there, I walked along Eastern Esplanade, crossed Esplanade Road, and continued on Torbay Road. I ended the walk by going through Paignton town centre and finishing up at the bus station. I started my walk in the beautiful gardens of Oldway Mansion, located next to Torquay Road. It's interesting to think about the Singer family and their connection to the property, given their notoriety for the Singer Sewing Machine. However, it's sad to see how the mansion has fallen into disrepair due to neglect over the years.

This pleasant walk begins from the family friendly beaches of Goodrington Sands, taking in the splendid views from Roundham Head, then ending at Paignton Harbour a short distance away.

Nightingale Park is situated 1.8 miles north of Torquay town centre. The park was previously used for landfill and now reclaimed as a large open space for the local community to enjoy.

The Royal Terrace Gardens, aka 'Rock Walk', offers spendid views across Torquay sea front between Torre Abbey Sands and Cary Parade. In 2007 a three year project to improve the gardens began. The Royal Terrace gardens reopened on 3 October 2010, with a new illuminated walkway leading up and connecting with the pathway at the top.
