It sounds much quieter than the CRV sound......I do mostly local stop and go driving, so does it make that sound when driving slow in traffic? If so, is it quieter than the reverse sound?

Very nice!!! Never really knew about this particular filter for the HV Hybrid battery located under the back seat on our 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. Another filter to do maintenance when doing the ENGINE air filter or/and CABIN air filter. Located a replacement filter on AMAZON varying from $8.00-16 ish range so not hurt the wallet too bad. Thanks again!

It’s insane Toyota keeps this battery so hidden and. It easy , though many videos for a common man it’s hard and dealers charge 350$usd

That filter is still filthy and in desperate need of replacement with a new one.

This happened to me this morning. Temp was 60+ degrees. Glad I saw this video. I might have a arguement with them on getting free replacement.

A flathead screwdriver will get the cover off BUT it will leave a permanent mark as all the pressure as you pry will be concentrated upon a single point. Thats why you need to buy a set of plastic dash pry tools like those blue ones you used. harbor freight $10. ALSO, as gross as your filter looks, I would go online and find a new replacement checking with the Toyota dealer LAST. !

You should of purchased a new filter and replace that dirty filter.

I go by the recommendation of another TH-camr who specializes in Toyota vehicles. Inspect the filter after 2 or 3 months depending on how much driving you do and if you have dusty roads, or shedding pets etc. if the filter is clean give it a light vacuum and reinstall. Lengthen the time to 4-6 months for the next inspection once again depending on dust, pets etc. he suggests doing it every 4-6 months after that. A couple other important suggestions are, never put water bottles, bags of ice or other liquids on top of the back seat. In them event that liquid gets onto the seat and with the hybrid battery being under the back seat, you don’t want to get water, juice etc. on the battery. NEVER put a blanket, coat, shopping bags etc. in front of the hybrid battery cooling vent. They first Prius vehicles didn’t have a cooling system for the battery and while the batteries lasted a long time there were more battery failures until the cooling vent / fan were introduced. This TH-camr I mentioned worked as a Toyota Tech with a specialty in hybrid systems. In over 1000 hybrid services he had only seen 2 battery failures. You did an awesome job removing the Phillips screw on the cover. No matter how long I turned the screw on mine during the first inspection, it wouldn’t come out. I had to break it ( harder than you would think ) after buying a new one. At the 2nd inspection once again the screw wouldn’t come out even after turning it over 20 times. On Toyota forums I have seen numerous owners who had the same issue. That little plastic screw cost me almost $3. Good video though.

A warning message came on my car about the Hybrid cooling system, i get my car serviced by Toyota dealer every year when the warning came on my car was due for a yearly service so i sent the car to them and told of the issue which arisen.Theysaid they cleand it and it hasnt occoured since but it has only been a couple of days.I am wondering however has it been done on previous services............?

While the look is clean I have 3 issues with this. 1) The lens is not adjustable. There should be some ability to as I believe there is too much of the hood being show on the MDX version 2) No sound to identify that the unit has powered on. I believe some of the earlier models had issues just dying after a month of use which was resolved. If this stops working you might not notice that small dim LED which shows if it is on. Even then you have no idea if it is working 3) With no voice you won't know if there is an issues with the microSD card With these issues IMO I would say to get a Viofo over this. Yes it might not look as hidden but I prefer functionality and knowing my device works or has some sort of issues instead of coming into a situation of an accident and then not having the video which I would need.

Nooooo those are all awful positions shown here to carry your kayak! Especially the tailgate up one. Creating a single pivot point puts a lot of stress on the boat and could cause the boat to fracture, especially with cheap plastic or expensive composite boats. Get proper racks that are designed to carry a kayak or other boat securely. Where possible tie it down at the bow, stern and midship to keep it from turning into a boat missile. There’s lots of different options out there, but the methods in this video are most likely to cause damage to your boat. Was great for me to use a leaf blower during an extended power outage.

It feels fairly useless to me. Maybe there's some out there who find a use for it. Neutral in the instructions is probably there for those of us with a manual transmission.
