Works for me i have having the same problem 2008 Acura tl type s after new battery car rpm drops to 0 almost every red light when idling so I took for test drive same problem so then I tried this method of resetting the ecu n holly cow it idle at a steady 750

PLEASE STOP IT. EVERY AUTO REPAIR VIDEO SHOULD START OUT WITH YEAR MAKE AND MODEL YEAR MAKE AND MODEL.The crack head engineers REFUSE to make ANYTHING the same,year after year.Eneneers are out of control.

What about for manual transmission models? Obviously you can't put it into 'park' so what do you do instead?

I tried this on my 2011 Toyota Camry. I had to change the battery. I tried. Doing this on my car but it idles to low then shuts off. Before I put it on drive. Need help.

What if you have a manual trans.? My Corolla will not idle. I have to keep pushing on the gas to keep it running so I have to get it warmed up to do this? YIKES!

I had a question...if you have a manual transmission.....but just on neutral just right now the idle is starting to go up after I changed the battery...it's holding at 850...will let it run a while and see if it stays

Saved me money especially from these mechanics guessing the problem

After i replaced the idle control valve and cleaned the trottle body, my car had a high idle, and it would turn off by itself. And if i tuen on the Ac, the whole car would vibrate, then turn off. Thanks, this worked for a 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander..

I hads my starter replaced AND the vehicle had a very low rough idle, the mechanic was confused, When I told him the comptuter needs to re program. I'll never go there, as per your video it works fine.

2002 sienna: i endured rough idle, till i cleaned the throttle body. ran better, but still rough idle. using this procedure set the idle almost instantly. i waited the 7 minutes, cycling the air conditioning also. much better. thank you.

Tried it twice and it didn’t work for me. However just driving with the bad idle to go get a coffee made it go away on its own. 2007 Corolla 1ZZFE 1.8L L4

Thank you! I replaced the battery in my Corolla a couple years ago and since then it had a surging idle. Replaced every gasket, cleaned every sensor, cleaned throttle body and nothing helped. After this procedure I have a stable idle!! Thank you

What if depressimg the brake drops the rpm 100 and it starts vobrating. Only when brake depressed. What the hay, been an issue sonce i got it and cant figure it out. Brake booster, air in the line? People are just guessing it seems

once the car starts your suppose to let engine run 10-15 mins tops so ecu can set the ignition coils,fuel injectors, throttle body and air flow ratio into and out of the engine after doing a tune up on my friend toyota avalon once the car started the vehicle sounded horrible after letting the engine run for 10-12mins the engine regain it strength.
