These videos are how i cope with the arrival of winter lol
Hahaha same here
Nice, looks like a fun one. Thx for sharing
We are glad you are enjoying them!
So awesome man! The Chicago Basin is one of the best places to visit.
Agreed! So beautiful!
Very cool, very chill, very vibe 👍
I just hiked the maroon bells 4 pass loop and kept looking at Pyramid Peak and thinking to myself, when am I going to see a video of The Stone hiking it. Way to go!
Hahah that's too funny! We bet the Four Pass Loop was so beautiful. That's something Warren definitely wants to do in the future
I did castle twice and man is it a good decision living amongst the mountain where I live
Nice, yeah Castle is a very fun peak. We are jealous, the Aspen area is a very cool place to live
@@TheStone406 yeah im looking to hit north bells next summer and la plata and elbert
Awesome!
Hey man, awesome video! I've been looking at doing a traverse from Overlook to Hyalite, and can't find any specific information on whether that route goes. I'm guessing that ridge is too technical/convoluted? Also, would be sweet to see your track if you have one! Although your description was great and I'm fairly certain on the way you went
Thanks, we appreciate the kind words! I have heard of that route going, though well above 4th. Chris Kussmaul did it just a couple weeks ago. I personally don't have any super reliable information about how choosy it actually is, but we've heard low/low-mid 5th with super loose rocks. But hard to say without actually having been up there Here is a link to my strava activity: strava.app.link/HAgMBwvElNb
Aaaarrgh. Wish you would wear a helmet and use harnessing with a climbing partner. If you fell alone no one would be able to get help.
I'll be ready for next summer haha
Dang right! 🫶
Looks like an awesome approach to Ellingwood. I can see where you get your mountain-loving gene from :)
Hahaha thank you! Julie is quite the bad-ass 🤘
Brilliant video, as good as I've seen from Capitol. Was it August when you did it?
Thanks! We appreciate the kind words. This video was filmed July 17th
Do you have a map of the route / directions on how to get to the scramble?
Yeah, try using this link to view it in Strava. strava.app.link/TRhbjXaXxMb - Basically you start at the Upper South Fork Bracket Creek Trailhead, head up to the Ross Pass saddle, and then head towards Ross. The trail leads you into the gully and the scrambling is all around that gully
Babe wake up, 14er days season 3 finally dropped
🙏
The epitome of epic!
Stoked to get back after it again with you next year bro!
Mirror and beehive are the two lakes at 16:03, solid fishing. Go try that bear basin ridge to the south if youre looking for something a little more technical, its mega rugged around the spines with no gear
Sick! Thanks for the recommendation. We'll have to check it out
Would love to see this in a full video unless it already is one
We appreciate that feedback! Unfortunately the trip has already come and gone and all those clips were filmed on an iPhone in 9:16 ratio. But, next time we'll be sure to bring the GoPros!
@@TheStone406 it’s alright, thanks for showing it anyways :D
Haven't really started doing any class 3 stuff yet - do yall memorize the entire route before going or should my route finding skills be better than that? Cuz the one time I did try class 3, I kept wandering off the proper, safest route lol
Everyone has their own strategy with class 3 routes. Warren and Will were 100% studied up on the route before getting there. But this route is very straight forward, so going in without having the whole thing memorized is very reasonable if you're comfortable making route-finding decisions and following occasional cairns
@@TheStone406 got it, ty
🔥🔥🔥
What peak is this?
Most of the clips in this video come from the ridge line that runs north to south that creates the west end of Fraizer Basin near Bozeman. The peaks that create this ridge line are officially unnamed
"...which, it is, in a lot of senses". lol, a kinda funny line worth hearing a second time
Agreed hahaha
@@TheStone406 I thought he was gonna say "but" as in "it's not really as deisel as it looks" but nope! lol
Same here hahaha
please remember that many species in these areas are endangered, so if possible do your best to not step on any plants on the cliffs such crazy cliffs. very nice view :D
crazy
Wow . . . man !
that isn’t scrambling, that’s walking a tightrope! 😂 such a beautiful area
Yeah! Such a beautiful area
Were there any class 3 sections or super sketchy areas? I've done the climb up main massive.. how comparable is it to that?
The "crux" of this loop is coming down from North Massive to the saddle before Massive Green. It involved a very little bit of class 3- scrambling. I don't recall it being exposed or very difficult at all, but I did use my hands some. The larger difference between this loop and the standard trail is in the route-finding. At no point was it very difficult, but there definitely wasn't a trail or cairns for any of the hike between North Half Moon Lakes and Massive Green. But if you're comfortable with that, give it a go because it was a ton of fun!
@@TheStone406 gotcha. this sounds like a ton of fun. sorry, one last question... not sure if you've done mt Missouri.. but if you have, would you say the crux you describe above for north massive is easier than the crux on Missouri?
No problem at all, we love the questions! It's been a while since I've done Mount Missouri, but from what I recall, coming down from North Massive is a little trickier than the crux on Mount Missouri. I don't recall the decent from North Massive being cairned, so it was a little bit of a "choose your own adventure". There are certainly ways to come down from North Massive that are only Class 2, but I think the way I came down was more in the Class 3 range. I wouldn't say it is a large step up, but certainly a little more than Missouri
Nice video, other than standard route...might try it 👍👍
Thanks, glad you enjoyed
Earned a new sub, looks awesome. Will be moving to Bozeman in August, excited to shred Bridger
Stoked to hear it, you'll enjoy it here for sure!
fantastic, I missed out not touring while the season held on.
Thanks, yeah, some days were really good!
Idk how they can close off a summit other than just “hey buddy don’t go up there” like I’m pretty sure somebody won’t meet you 14,000 feet up for the ol Colorado castle doctrine
We would have to agree with you there for sure, but frankly it's more a matter of principle and respect than the probability of being caught. CFI is actively trying to work with the owners of Bross, Linsdey, and the like to try and allow us to be able to hike there. But if we want any chance of the peaks being reopened to the public, we should respect the closure and the land owners wishes.

send it, Jerry
I definitely need to ski heart chute some day... So sick seeing you send once as well, it's definitely easier on skis 😭
Hahaha thank you, yeah those lines are dope. Kirkwood is such a cool place
Watch out for the down tree!!!
Hahaha
hope you destroyed the jump afterwards, great jumping :)
Culebra has become a joke. A totally not worth it joke.
the stone more like the pebble amirite
Hope you liked the mountain. It looked scary!😮
Thanks, we definitely had fun
Congrats on the event to both of you! Love the riding and the content.
Thank you for the kind words, we appreciate it 🙏
Always amazing content. Question for you -- I'm due to retire my daily driver to rock board status and looking for something good for bridger lines. Anything you've liked that you can recommend (other than a personal p-tex factory)?
Thank you we appreciate the kind words and the question! In our opinion, the perfect board for you might differ from what the perfect board for someone else is. It's all about what you feel comfortable on and what allows you to charge! In general, Warren and Michael both opt for quite stiff boards, with a wide waist width and a considerable amount of taper and early rise. Warren rides the Ride Commissioner and Michael rides the Rossignol XV. Both of those are potentially a little aggressive for some of the "hop turney" / billy goat style lines of Bridger, but if you like a very stiff, aggressive board, these are great options. In particular, the Ride boards have genuinely incredible durability. If you're looking for something a little more moderately aggressive, the K2 Alchemist is quite fun, or the Ride Berzerker is pretty rad too. Neither Warren nor Michael have tried it, but we have some friends that really like the Yes 420 that is based off their old Ghost model. Hope this helps and feel free to reach back out if you have follow up questions!
Awesome stuff! What days were you down there because I went to snowbird Alta from march 24- March 30 and it was the most epic ski days of my life
Glad you had a good time! Yeah that place is rad. I believe Warren and Michael filmed this video the 7th-9th of February
Awesome video as usual. Go Avs!
Go Avs
very nice. how would u say brighton compares to snowbird? I’ve never been to brighton
Brighton is super fun, but very different. The laps are much shorter, but quality terrain nonetheless. We'd definitely say give it a shot
so sick watching you guys throughout the events and while traveling.
Thank you!
An amazing experience
We had a ton of fun for sure
I personally would prefer it with calmer music but nice hike!
Thank you! And thanks for the feedback, I'll pass that along to our editing team
Yay! Names I remember! I was there in the late 80's - 90's. One route up and everything will scare you. Nice work!
Thank you! Yes, Bridger is an amazing place 🙌
Looks like a magical place! ❄️
Warren and Finn had a ton of fun!
videos are really good but need seo.
We appreciate the feedback, thank you! We will pass this along to our editing team
@@TheStone406 Your content is impressive! But to gain organic visibility on TH-cam, SEO is key. your organic rank SEO score is very low that's why your content is not ranked on youtube. Your hard work deserves recognition, and ranking your videos on YT will make that happen.
