How loud is the impact noise from upstairs did you do anything to mitigate that?
Great job! Did you paint all exposed vents, electrical housings, pipes, returns, etc black? any issues painting those different types of surfaces ?
I painted everything! No issues because nothing gets touched on the ceiling so it has stayed on all of the surfaces
How amazingly refreshing to find a video that doesn’t involve massive amounts of snarky humor, sales-pitchy talk, nonchalant arrogance, or incomplete/incorrect instructions. You were so thorough and provided relevant specific information and managed to do it all in just a few minutes. And it looks amazing!

Yes I agree with that, but as much as you do in a day is the satisfaction of seeing your accomplishments. At the end of the day you have earned bragging rights.

What do with the white pvc sewage lines and the other lines hanging below the joists?
We painted over them!

Try breaking the mountain of a project into a bunch of small, bite sized projects and start to slowly check them off your list. Before you know it you will finish the mountain of a project!
Where did you find white epoxyshield may I ask, I followed your blog, all leading to kinda light greyish ones. Btw loved the video
Thank you!! Unfortunately I think they tweaked the product and there are only a few color options now with this kit. There are other concrete paints with more color options that come in a can, you just want to make sure it is for concrete
Very interesting until <2:05> into the video, a large advertisement for concrete flooring covered 3/4 of the screen, and I really wanted to see how easy the bow was untied. Advertisement has gone too far. There wasn't a place to click to complain 😢😢😢

You house looks newer. Do you get any water leakage or dampness after a hard rain?
We have only had water leakage once when a HUGE storm came through and uprooted a tree in our front yard. We have not had any since. Our home was built in 1969

I’m curious what to use if you have dimples in your flooring
Use a thicker nap paint roller to get the paint into the dimples. You can also fill the dimples with concrete crack filler before you paint.

Epoxy is in the prep work and if you want it to withstand a super long time especially in the garage going with 100% solids is a must. Great job here and tutorial, this is a nice cost effective solution. 👍

I'm not gonna go all through that. I'm going to vacuum it put some shellac on it and paint the thing black

How do you measure the correct ribbon size?
I take the ribbon and loosely wrap it around the present leaving longer tails to account for the bow. I usually only have a little bit of extra ribbon that I cut off once the bow is on the gift.
What is the additive you added to prevent slipping?
It is an anti-skid additive which is a Rustoleum product
Looks awesome. I may try this out....but not sure if the epoxy will stick if slab is not waterproofed with a vapor barrier? My house is a bit older..1960s..

Awesome job! I love how your floors turned out! The painted black ceiling looks awesome as well. Question... I painted my basement concrete floors a few years ago. Can I use this method over my painted floors or will I have to strip the paint first? Thanks again!
As long as the current paint is not chipping, I don't see why you can't paint over it.
