I am not a viruoso or a shredder or a guitar god. I am a regular dude who likes guitars and enjoys playing them. I don't have tons of fancy gear. I try to make the most out of what I have. My favorite genres are jazz, punk, and old school country. But no disrespect to any other styles. We all work hard to sound as good as we can in the style of our choice. Bought it brand new. So many fond memories made with this guitar. Needs a volume pot and end jack repair. Still sounds OK.

The Palomino is a nice budget-friendly option for blues, jazz and rockabilly. With three P90 pickups you have a lot of options.

Here I'm playing a 1976 Les Paul Deluxe through a vox ToneLab. I just wanted you to hear the nice tone I love from this overlooked Paul with mini humbuckers.

Thanks Randy, you gave me hope for my Palomino... It needs lots of work which its getting. But it didn't seem to wanna scream. If I may ask, do you know what year yours is?
2005 stock. The only mods I ever did was when I play jazz, I place a small bit of foam behind the bridge to dampen possible feedback on clean tones.
Nice jam. I couldn't see the pup selector. On the bridge? I just ordered one yesterday new in the honey sunburst with gold hardware for only a bit over $400 shipped, but I have seen them $200 higher on a big box site. Unbelievable price, I think I got blessed, that was the lowest priced one I found, and they only had one. I had the same thoughts you express, it appears that this model would fill a good niche for a hollow body blues/jazz/rockabilly guitar, sort of a mash up of a ES-175 look and ES-295 (P-90s). Rock on!
The pickup selector is 5 way and located where you would find it on a Strat.

I started on the neck pickup and when I flip the switch I get the brighter tone around :49 in the video.

I dropped in to see a Palomino review, but got caught up in some signature licks! It seems that this guitar screams and has a unique sustaining tone. Nice playing!

Used Dean V with repaired neck crack. Into a Vox Tonelab ST. Then into an old Crate 2x12.
