You must mount this inverter on a flat surface with the screen facing up or this will happen. This happened after 50,000 miles on a sprinter. Do not mount this on a wall either vertically or horizontally!!!!

Walkthrough on changing the transmission fluid, filter, pan seal on a 2020 Mercedes Sprinter 2500. Hand tools with no specialty tools. Make sure at the end when you are letting the van warm up and pump the fluid through you put on the brake and shift through the gears. yer kidding! wow I have this and just had it apart. I saw no such warnng and mine is bolted to the wall in my boat. No such issues, It MUST be fastened where that heavy steel core with the windings attaches. Ive got to confirm about this. That seems totally negligent, if its true.
Wow. This is worse than how they force you to have the very loud low battery alarm set higher than the low battery disconnect that shuts it off. They don't want people getting a good night's sleep, and when connecting Renogy, you need to use their web portal to enter a ticket instead of email, which when you do that, it duplicates and replicates every word you type. I'm starting to see why everyone likes Victron more. In the future I'll go with Victron.
What actually broke. Did the bolt holding the toroid transformer to the base plate break or did the base plate pull away. It would help to know what caused this problem mechanically so that it can be reinforced if need be.
The bolt you see does not hold the transformer to the base plate. There is only some type of adhesive holding it. You will need to add some type of rubber non conductive strap around the whole thing.
@@chrisseanard6240 Thanks Chris, I am amazed this situation has not been reported in the past. That is certainly very poor design. I have a unit also mounted on a wall. I have placed rubber supports under the transformer and on top. Have you heard many other reports of this failure mode since your video. Thanks for taking the time to make the video.

Sometimes with lipo batteries the voltage will dip below nominal levels and when that happens the balance charger will error out. The fix for those, at least, is charging them as a ni-mh just to bump the voltage up so the charger will work. Its dangerous and i dont recommend that. LoL. That error could be anything though, but it looks like it displays the voltage. Is that below low voltage cutoff?
Good info. I wouldn't trust a company that can't spend a few cents for bolts+nuts to secure a heavy toroidal transformer.
I hope this is a joke..... I can't believe that Renogy would not screw down a magnet / transformer of that size ......

Hey guys, great job on a sidenote I just finished doing mine and I would suggest putting 7 L of fluid if you’re just removing the pan and filter and 9 L total if you’re doing the torque converter drain as you did. What I did is filled up with 4 L started the engine and went through the gears a few times then let the transmission come up to temperature finished putting The last of the 9 L total inside of the transmission then remove my fill hose and let whatever transmission fluid was left spill out into my catch basin and then that was my proper fluid fill level but you have to bring the transmission of the operating temperature to make sure that you have the fluid everywhere it needs to be

Not mounted down ? Even if it was bolted to the ground its still gunna move isnt it?
Use an impact driver with an extension, with your Allen socket to loosen the TQ drain. Been doing this since 1970 servicing Mercedes-Benz.
You should also weld the crack if you have access to a machine that can weld aluminum.

MY DAD BOUGHT A BUCCANEER 3HP JUST LIKE THIS ONE WHEN I WAS 4 YR OLD. HIM & MY UNCKLE TURNED THE BOAT OVER SEVERAL TIME, GET IT UP ON THE BANK, DRAIN GAS, REFILL AND FIRE IT UP. IT NEVER FAILED THEMJ, I STILL HAVE IT AND START IT OCCASSIONALY. 2/23/15
