My name is Dave and Fishing is my passion. After being laid off in 2020 during the covid pandemic, I focused my energy on something positive and reconnected with my passion for finding and catching fish. I started this channel as a creative outlet and because I have learned so much about fishing from many other creative and knowledgeable TH-camrs. Weather cancelled my planned fishing trip, so I went to my local spot. I almost didn't go because of the weather and being bummed about cancelling on a bigger trip. But as you can see in the video, getting out there even when conditions or circumstances aren't the best can prove to be rewarding and fun.

Hey Ben, its kind of a game with the bottom, hit the wrong spot and you'll get hung up. I play around where I think the fish are. In this case it was close to bottom but not quite there. Still lost about 4 rigs that day.
Go up by the boulders/dam area with the wacky!
I keep thinking I'm gonna paddle up there then I always get stuck in the the fishing holes I'm familiar with and run out of time. Maybe tomorrow I'll head straight there.
@@strikefirstfishing6327 I think Google maps has it 0.75 mile, so it is a bit of distance from the launch to the last pedestrian bridge. I haven’t tried by kayak yet but want to; procrastinating due to the distance haha

Try a Tokyo Rig video with a missile D bomb next time. Caught three between 1.5-2 pounds last time out kayaking on huntsman within an hour; using straight braid too. Probably should head back to find that 5 pounder a few people have caught.
I'll have to get on the tokyo rig this fall. I don't have any experience with it but maybe I can work that into a video. I love finding new techniques that make my fishing more fun and interesting. Thanks for following along!

Appreciate that bud. I've been fishing my whole life but 95% of what I know about snakeheads has come from your channel. I've binge watched your vidz like re-runs of Seinfeld! In fact the second snakehead on this vid using the Keitech 4" easy shiner as a trailer for the chatterbait I specifically picked up from you!
