Honestly my female lovebird also does this to me 🤣 she’s way more territorial than my male. Unfortunately birds are going to bite every now and then. I don’t think there is a way to completely remove biting. Even with a close bond to a bird, it’s bound to happen every now and then, it’s just the way they are. They have their mood swings! However my tips would include: -don’t yell at your bird when they bite (it will just make them more scared). Calmly put them down or step away. Kind of like a time out. -try to be as confident and firm with your bird as possible. If they think they can boss you around they will. -make sure they have tons of safe toys to bite.

Good to know! Hahaha they are very wild! Mine didn’t do this well last winter because she didn’t get enough sun in our previous place. But this room gets a lot of light! Not sure what I’m going to do with her next winter if she’s bigger than this! 😅😬

Yeah if I could keep it planted outside all year I would! But yeah I have to bring it inside for the winter. Luckily we have warm weather longer here in Windsor than I did back in Barrie. I didn’t have to bring my plants inside until November which was nice 😊

I’m so sorry for your loss. ❤️ That sounds like a beautiful dream. There’s lots of things you can try. You could try to communicate with them through your dreams since that is how they originally reached out-maybe write their name on a piece of paper, place under your pillow and go to bed with the intention of connecting with them as see if they visit you. May not work right away, but if you keep trying every night, you never know! Along with that’s there are tools that maybe help aid you in this type of Dreamwork. Some examples include: tinctures, teas, and oils that include ingredients like Mugwort or blue lotus. Both are great for opening up your third eye and aiding in lucid dreaming. You can also place crystals connected to the third eye on your bedside table. You could create a special dream bag or spell jar to hang by your bed or put under your pillow to assist too. Another way to connect could be to create an alter for the familiar with an offering to them and ask them to send some sort of sign that they are still with you. Then make sure you’re staying present moving forward as they may send you signs throughout the day. Some people like to communicate with spirit with other tools like tarot cards or pendulums. There’s a lot of options. Any ways that you would communicate with spirits really could be used to connect with a familiar. Hope that helps ☺️

It definitely doesn’t have a strong male energy in comparison to other decks, though I don’t think it’s completely void of the masculine. But also you need to find a deck that works for you. Some decks you’ll be able to read with no problem and others won’t vibe with you. I think that’s also what makes it kind of fun, finding the right deck for your own unique personality and preferences. I don’t think every deck made out there is meant for everyone. Makes the hunt for a good one all the more interesting 😊

And yeah I find there are techniques that start to work for you and your birds the more time you spend with them and realize what works with their personalities. Glad you’re figuring out your own strategies that are working for you. And repeating words is really helpful. They are quite smart and I do notice they learn word associations :)

I’ve identified as a witch/been actively practicing since around 2018. But looking back on my whole life and my childhood I’ve always done magickal things, without even realizing it. It’s just something that wasn’t taught to me or I was exposed to until later in life when I met the right people and then from there found more information on the internet and continued my studies.

@Thewolf2004-d8p don’t let them get you down. People will bully people for any reason. Usually they are just ignorant or scared of what they don’t know. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in life is that happy and confident people tend to be kind and uplift others. If someone is bullying someone or rude or hateful towards another person, they are usually miserable or unhappy with themselves. It’s a projection. Some people will grow from that, many do not. The more you are unapologetically yourself and confident in that, you attract kind and positive people who are uplifting and love you for who you are. ❤️✨

When it comes to channeling, the best technique is going to be the one that you find you’re the strongest in both energy and focus. I would start with figuring what your strongest sense is. Some people are great visualizers,others not so much, but maybe there’s another sense that is stronger, like how the energy feels to them rather than how it looks. Experimenting with different forms of meditation is a great way to play with that and get a feel for what works for you and how you best focus your mind and your energy. And then from there you can start to add on other things, like the elements for example. Maybe you find yourself really connected to the earth and working with herbs helps you better channel that energy or maybe drawing energy from fire fuels you. Channeling often includes working with these elements around you, not just working from your own energy reserves. Because when we only channel from our own reserves, we can often drain ourselves. So pairing our own energy with our plant allies, spirit allies, the elements, and other magickal tools cannot only help us preserve our own energy, but also strengthen our magick. So I would start practicing meditations and also taking time to connect with different elements, magickal tools, just really get to know yourself in terms of what feels energetically empowering to you and from there you’ll be able to find the most efficient way that you personally can channel energy. I hope that helps! One quick exercise I can leave you with to start, is a simple visualization of envisioning roots from your feet, going into the earth and pulling up energy from the earth, up up up into your body and from there expanding that energy and pushing it through your hands, into whatever spell-work you are doing. 😊
