I am a big sister and part of a very close family. I lived in the same house with all of my family for my whole life, before I moved out with my boyfriend at 21. My family are my best friends, my dad was the person that fixed everything, my mother was my selfless friend and my sister was my mirror image. Everything you said, I 100% relate to. I remember feeling so alone in the beginning, even though I had moved in with the person I love more than I could articulate. I would find myself happy at times, then unbelievably sad and sobbing the next just from a thought, which I never expected to happen! I missed them so much, even though they were 20 minutes away. I missed my routine at my old home, my surroundings, my family, my family pets. The best way I could describe it to my partner was, I feel like I am missing out on family life and I miss the little things we all did/had each day, I low-key had FOMO ahaha. At the same time, I felt so bad for my partner, when I was so upset. I constantly told him, I love you and I love this next step we are on, but I feel like I am grieving my old life. I just share this, because I know how hard this feeling was when I was in the thick of it! I felt silly sometimes because not everyone in my life understood it, but how lucky are we to have something so beautiful that we grieve it in these moments. I just wanted to reassure you, eventually this pain lessens with time and your new adventure becomes normal, just like your 'old' life did. One thing that helped me, was focusing on building a new routine and 'distracting myself' to get through the transition. You will get through these moments beautiful, just know that we are all cheering you on xx

As a fellow older sister I completely understand where you are coming from! I’m getting married in a couple months and moving out/ trying to buy a house, and the stress on top of the emotions of leaving home have been a lot. I’m also 22 and often feel like so many people I know moved out so much earlier than me. So I feel silly for having all of these big emotions, but it’s hard to adjust and realize that things will never quite be the same. All of this to say, you aren’t “soft” for having these feelings. And thank you for sharing this because you certainly are not alone! ❤

Biggest tip for transporting livestock in a horse float is to make sure you can cover the back opening so they can’t “see” as such. It calms them down a lot more because they feel as though there isn’t a “way out” ❤❤

Moving out gets easier! I’m 22 too & moved out of home (leaving my little siblings 😭) for the first time 12 months ago - it was so so hard, but I learned to love it w time 💛
