"Unable to retrieve package information" - pfSense
Are you getting one of these errors:
"pkg: An error occured while fetching package"
"Unable to retrieve package information."
This video may fix your issue, I tried to make it short so I don't waste your time.
Commands referenced:
- pkg
- pkg upgrade
- pkg-static -d update
- env ASSUME_ALWAYS_YES=yes pkg-static bootstrap -f
- pkg-static update -f
- certctl rehash

Hello and welcome to ZomBeatz Media where we try to make the future more simple for you. Sorry for the lack of quality in this video, It was a quick make to help solve a large issue. I'm guessing you've googled how to fix it, and came up with deleting the pre-created license key, and restart unity... and no matter how many times or ways you tried, it would not work. If so, this video is for you...

I'm glad I was able to help, I didn't even know it was a thing until I was trying to find a Pi-Hole alternative... took me way to long to find how how to fix it, and all of the youtube videos didn't help me out either.

:( I have just been using Godot when messing around. I am unsure of unity for anything new. There is also the possibility that am additional key is missing from your 5 (if I remember correctly) keys

I was about to do this then u said something about hardware address or something then realized on my WiFi setting has me use different IP things so I turned off that setting and I got it! SO THANK YOU SO MUCH :)

I have had another person with one of the 5 keys missing and I haven't found out what that number correlates to yet, you're more than welcome to send me the exported key from the software at info@zombeatzmedia.com and I'll take a look at it when I get a chance

Glad I could help, idk why the team at unity makes their license that way. And I wanted to make a fast, no bs, video so people can get it fixed as fast as possible

I hear a lot of people like unreal engine because it makes thing more... Maybe streamlined is the word I'm looking for...
Have you checked out godat? I've been using it to make a 2d game, it's super small in filesize and really easy to work with

So from what I've gathered, it shouldn't unless there's either an update or hardware change (I believe network wise). Since it goes off of your nic card (using the Mac address) my hypothesis is that maybe it's software has some issues with certain wireless hardware. I was using a wireless dongle at the time of recording, but when I moved and used direct ethernet, the license became invalid, however I no longer have to do this process.

Here's the copy of my Unity_lic.alf file. <MachineBindings><Binding Key="1" Value="00261-50000-00000-AA676" /><Binding Key="2" Value="DJ0100V1R1B4N6" /><Binding Key="4" Value="RTROMENYODg5NDU0MTdF" /></MachineBindings><UnityVersion Value="5.6.0" /></License></root> There's no "Binding Key 5" I tried adding it, but that didn't work.

I gave up talking to unity about the code behind their license since they keep sending me my video and the usual "fix" most everyone has seen... So if anyone has an idea on what they bind to... Please let me know... I'll keep searching as well
