The answer is make a smaller world and villagers will be there. I had a large map and no villagers. Small map had villagers.

But actually try to get a world with no villages I walked a thousand blocks I didn't find anything all I found is a dark oak forest okay a thousand isn't a lot but dark oak tree leaves touch each over making it hard to see and mobs can spawn at all times I like dark oak but I hate the forests the trees are too big to explore they block the sunlight and they block like 50% of the view. After I pass the dark oak forest I hope I will find a desert I never found a desert temple and I need too I need tnt and extra diamonds. Mining is boring.

Some of this is untrue. I found a village on a mountain, and that is not a flat surface. Edit: I just realized this was 2013. This tutorial is no longer relevant.

In the Switch edition I spent hours looking for a village. I scoured the world, using Nether portals to quickly jump around. Then I came back to see... a villager in my base. I quickly trapped him to make a breeder, and eventually found his village. It was literally a straight line right east of my base. Here's the weird thing though. It didn't spawn in an open flat area. It's spawned in a mountainous forested area right by the water. It also only had two buildings: A library, and a house without a door. Oh, and a well. It apparently only had a single villager to begin with, so despite the face palming moment of having one Village so close that I just missed, I still don't have enough villagers to make a proper Village. Now I'm kind of wondering what would happen if I converted the map to the Bedrock Edition. Would Villages spawn in the area I already explored? Or would I have to travel beyond that area to see if the new algorithm would actually spawn it? Just in case I never find another Village I have planned to fight zombies until I get a zombie villager to spawn so I can cure it... The seed I picked otherwise resulted in a very interesting world. Lots of spiraling Mountain features and large open Caverns. More flowers than I've ever seen in the world as well. My seed? 9 numbers. 3 followed by the first 8 digits of Pi.

You can make your own village .Fire place some villagers where many trees . Then go somewhere and come later were you place the village then you see there a village.

I enabled generate structures and it only enabled the stronghold but no village. can someone tell me why?
