I love the beauty of thunderstorms, but don't relish flying (or driving) in them. I've flown in airplanes from Anchorage to Florida and Boston to San Diego, Minneapolis to Houston and Washington, D.C. to Los Angeles, but somehow, I've not once flown into or out of Atlanta.

Never fun going thru T storms

I had learned how to deal with turbulence and flying around or through thunderstorms since I was 7 years old. That meant turbulence in Stratocruisers, Constellations and Super Constellations, DC-6's and after these, the jets that replaced the props. I can say it was something to watch the wings of a DC-6B moving up and down in turbulence like your car going over a bumpy road. WHAT A RIDE!!

I Was on the scariest flight 14 years ago coming back from Jamaica! And it’s just when I was getting over my fear of flying! The storm was so thick, I don’t know why they took off in that! The plane felt as if any moment it would plummet back to the earth! Then A huge dip happened, scared the life outa me! Then after about 4 minutes of that, it was the smoothest flight I ever had! Lol no lie, there wasn’t one bump after that. The whole 3 plus hours was smooth sailing!! This video reminds me of that moment! Lol it was actually a pretty chill flight! Coming back from Mexico, in a thunder storm, and I felt a little push here and there, but nothing crazy! Those pilots must have been magicians! Lol! Then the best flight I ever had was flying on a ting plane! We all thought it was going to be hell in the sky, the plane ride was so freaking smooth! 😂
