I used to hate these denouncing videos because I wanted to join so badly. It wasn’t until recently and really cultivating a relationship with God that I realize he saved me from those organizations because you never could’ve known these initiations were like this without y’all speaking up. I appreciate you! I thought it was all just slander until learning about the altars. I’m sad that this is how it is but I know I’ll be better off away from it.

Amen. I denounced in steps, it felt like. I renounced the covenant and oaths and vows I made first. Then I got more understanding and got rid of all my Delta paraphernalia, and then I wrote and sent in my denouncement letter to HQ. I originally didn’t share why, I said it was “personal.” God convicted me about that and a few months later I was specific about why and how ungodly sororities/fraternities, Masonry, Eastern Star, all secret societies are. I found myself interested in joining the organization but I noticed I only wanted that because the guy I was dealing with is a Nupe.I wanted to be in the organization to feel like I accomplished something so much and to get validation from others and to be looked at like " oh yeah look at her doing the thing".But deep down I really dont want to and I always come across videos like this and the conviction hits me so hard.My ego, pride and flesh are like on 100 right and this video was very helpful!!!I just dont know how to feel right now.

My dumb self was waiting for them to come back because they were supposed to come back when I got there. God protected me because they never came to campus. And now I am totally against greeks.
