In this video i will remove the swapped engine form my 1982 golf mk1. Due to some MOT issues i need to put the old engine back in the car.

Hi, Rims are MSW typ18353 I believe. They're 6Jx15inch, ET30 i think.

Both the spring cups are now upside down. The cup has to be like the right hand shock so that the spring doesn't shift around.

Hi, new steering rack new poly bushes installed on my mk1 2007 model... When I turn the steering wheel left and right the rack moves... When I'm driving steering wheel misaligns please assist
I have no experience with poly bushes, i would check if all bolt are tight and you have the correct bushes. On my new build i will use powerflex bushes, so i'm curious to see.

I added a hydraulic steering rack on my 81 MK 1 Scirocco. That is a big difference from the old manual rack. But now mine is leaking now, and it’s very difficult to find a replacement. I hate to do it, but I might have to replace it with a manual unit.
Hi Is it 1.1 original vw engine? Is gearbox from original engine or you put some other, from which car?
Originally this is a 1.1 engine with code GG. The car now has a 1.3 GF with original gearbox of that engine. The 1.4 16V is from a polo 6N and has a 5-speed 085 box.
@@mk1-borrie493 I have the same 1.1 1982 GG with 4 speed gearbox. Is it possible to instal 5 speed gear box? If yes, which model, from which car is compatible? Thank you
You can use a 085 box from a polo 6n or 6n2 or mk3 with a 1,4

An OEM upgrade for the rear would be nice also!
I have thought about doing a rear disc conversion because It's possible with OEM parts. The problem in Belgium is that you can't make it legal and i'm selling the car. The next MK1 project will probably get it. Mayby I make a video about it when i'm done with rebuilding my house.
Thanks for details in the description I did not know there was OEM upgrade for this car I had already bought Tech-53 Golf 1 BBK - i could have saved over 50% If I did it your way. F**k
I'm glad that you find i nice. The Tech-53 kit looks good with the willwood calipers, i believe that you can also have 2-pot calipers to mount on these scirocco brakes.
