God fraggle rock muppet show and sesame street dvds were my childhood. I wish there were shows more like the first two nowadays (sesame street seems almost untouched compared to them, muppets are wasted rn and fraggle rock hasnt seen action since around when the cold war ended)

Anyone who was scared of the Wiggle Puppets (i wasn't), you guys have missed out on a lot.

I feel the same way about 1996's "Mars Attacks" by Tim Burton, there's so many people that I see talking about how it terrified them as kids and all I can think is...really? I remember watching it on TV with my Dad and loving it, like it's obviously meant to be a ridiculous comedy. But then again, I had already seen a few of the classic slashers and a plethora of other horror flicks secondhand before that so lol.

As someone who hyperfixated on dumbo (1941) and the brave little toaster when I was like 12-13, I don't get how people find the "disturbing" scenes in tblt scary like the scene with the clown, the scene where the main 5 were at the car dump, etc. Like dude how were those scenes scary ?? They weren't in the slightest, they were more disturbing than scary. But with dumbo, the elephants on parade scene wasn't scary at all. (in my 12 year old brain) I thought that scene was cool like from the animation, colors, and music.

Also that one Will Vinton film "The Adventures of Mark Twain", most people only know it as "that movie with Satan in it"

I get why some people were scared of these moments, but now I feel that the “OMG THIS MOMENT FROM A “KIDS” MOVIE IS SO SCARY” is too overrused to the point its kinda a joke. Like how tf did yall not grow out of that and you’re still scared of that goofy-ahh shi from years ago? Its literally art, not something you can shit ur pants on. Let it go. Its not worth being scared over it man. So yeah, this video is so real.

Things can be creepy without being scary. Things can be creepy or unsettling without being scary. There is some overlap/leeway and most of this is subjective. That being said; the fact that this topic made you this mad is funny as shit

I watched a PG rated movie as a kid about rabbits with a lot of blood, violence and death, come on guys

It’s usually millennial disney adults or young zoomers that say this because both groups tend to keep up with children’s media more so than anyone else, not to bash on children’s media at all but disney and/or Pixar animated movies don’t really have dark or threatening villains or themes anymore, so when they see an older children’s movie or show that actually depicts something mildly violent they lose their minds. That being said, I’m a zoomer and I also grew up watching all the same stuff but it never scared me, the only children’s thing that really fucked with me was that one SpongeBob scene when squidwards toenail gets ripped off by that couch but I’ve always been irrationally afraid of anything nail related. Thanks for making this video It needed to be saiddddd

Funny thing is that I'm in the same boat as you are. None of the things in this video scared me cuz either 1; I never saw them growing them. 2: I found them more mesmerizing, enjoyable, or more thrilling to watch. And 3: The things I saw in my childhood were way scarier than the ones shown here. Examples include Majora's Mask, those old monster movie clips from The Most Extreme (Particularly The Mole People, Killer Shrews, Horror at Party Beach, and that Italian zombie movie), and Wormy from Spongebob, though that last one you could say is debatable.
