@kristine8509, This is just a standard room. We were there during the winter. I am sure they had a heater, but I can't remember if they had AC. We usually book Expedia for our hotel needs. While planning our summer visit to Europe this year, we made sure all our hotels had AC. If you look at the amenities tab on their website, if it shows a snowflake icon, that room has AC.

@ebiofoto, My answer is contingent on what activities you want to do, if you are driving or using public transportation, and the timing of your visit. For example, Zurich is more convenient for public transit because almost everything converges there. Interlaken is more centrally located, and getting to places like Bern, Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, and even Jungfraujoch is easier and faster. Zurich is already festive, and the Christmas markets are open as early as the last week of November. Interlaken starts their festivities around mid-December.

@ebiofoto, We have not been to Interlaken during the Christmas season. At best, we were there on December 1, and there were no festivities yet, as Interlaken is a small town. As for Zurich, as early as the last week of November, there are already Christmas activities until probably December 24 (the last day of Christmas markets). If you have never been to Switzerland, you should start in Zurich; then, you can go on side trips to Interlaken, Lucerne, and Bern if your schedule permits. There will definitely be more activities in Zurich as it is their biggest city. Note that shops are mostly closed on Christmas Day itself. @svetlananersesyan8231, When you get out of baggage claim, you exit the terminal and cross a small street to enter another building. From there, you can find signs for the hotel, and it will take you 5 minutes or less to get there. The hotel is outside the terminal area, i.e., you must go through immigration to stay in the hotel, so you must have the proper visa. It is not a transit hotel located within the terminal area.

@larrymacavinta7331 Thank you very much! The voice is from an AI voice generator; recording our voices is more challenging, and ours is not as pleasant. The sites in Copenhagen were close to each other, and as long as our walk between sites is less than 1 mile or 15 minutes, we'd rather walk. While walking, there were many exciting things to see, adding to the experience. Frederik's church and Gefion fountain were not part of our itinerary, but we chanced upon them while walking.

@@happyshellfilms I'm not from Konstanz directly, but from near Singen. But that's in the same county. I was there from time to time at the border and did the same as you (Germany-Switzerland). However, until about the year 2000 there was still a border fence between Constance and Kreuzlingen (Switzerland), so in the past you could only do it directly at the lake, there was always a gate open.

There is really little to do in the hotel. As you've seen in the video, it's the front desk, then the rooms. The hotel has little entertainment except the TV in your room. But if you want to lie down and sleep, the hotel is perfect. You can spend the rest of your time walking or shopping in the terminal.

@Renato Sio. The family day pass is suitable for two adults and up to 4 children and is only available online. However, buy a Lake Brienz Day Pass for 60 Swiss francs each. With the day pass, you can make as many journeys as you like on scheduled boats. You can buy the day pass from this site: bls.trekksoft.com/en_GB/activity/311978/day-pass-lake-brienz. I am unsure if you can buy the day pass at the station. To give you an idea, a round-trip ticket to Giessbach from Interlaken Ost will cost you 50 Swiss francs. We'd recommend you stay in Interlaken as there are more hotel and restaurant options and it is more centrally located. There are also two train stations about 1 mile apart. We do not have enough experience staying in Grindelwald as we only made two separate day trips. We stayed in Hotel Interlaken during our first time in Interlaken; on the subsequent visit, we rented an AirBNB place because there were 6 of us, but we drove to the sites instead of using public transportation. If you use public transport, you'll be better off staying in one of the hotels near one of the two train stations.

@@happyshellfilms much thanks for your recommendation. In your other video you went to the valley of waterfalls, Lauterbrunnen. Pls advice how to do this using public. Another question is which other places do you recommend we visit while in First. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences.

@Renato Sio, someone drove us to the village when we went to Lauterbrunnen. However, using public transportation, a train from Interlaken Ost (RE62) runs every thirty minutes and can take you to Lauterbrunnen. It is about a 600-meter walk from the train station to the village and about a kilometer to Staubbach Falls. You can do a waterfall hike in Lauterbrunnen to see other waterfalls. Still, we do not have much experience to tell you exactly what to expect. At Grindelwald First, you can get to the top station and do the cliff walk or hike to Bachalpsee (a mountain lake); the hike is about 2 hours round trip, so we opted not to do it during our last visit. If you are in Grindelwald, you can also go to Kleine Scheidegg and Jungfraujoch (this was in our other video). Just be prepared if you are going to Jungfraujoch that the air is thin, and we had difficulty adjusting to feeling dizzy the whole time we were there. If you are staying at Interlaken, just right behind Victoria Jungfrau Hotel is a funicular that takes you to Harder Kulm, the top of Interlaken. If you want a more relaxing experience, you can do a Lake Brienz cruise that begins behind the Interlaken Ost train station with stops at Iseltwald and Giessbach.
