Thanks Ian - I am working hard on my serves and you will see soon the “new” pendulum I plan to throw up at least 2 feet (work in progress) I understand your feedback on my opponent AND there are MANY players in a similar position on serves so I have no “beef” at all - the whole serving position needs looking at imo I will calm the language down it was a passionate game (no excuses however? 😂

@@InBodWeTrust thanks Ian - great FB - he did well getting in on both wings - next time I will be more aggressive on the return of serve - I let him in every time. He struggled with my serves 1st game then got the hang of them and I was in trouble. 4th game I changed it and won it - poor in the 5th - all the best

Yes pls Tony - his tomahawk serve I couldn’t cope with it - I think if I returned it better I would have won ? Your opinion pls ?

@@HowardMcCain99 I was hopin' to get your thoughts. I guess the difference from my side of the pond would be threat - this guy's serves were good, but he was playing real topspin shots. your offensive shots are more like what we would call a drive, which didn't seem to cause him many bother

@ - good FB Tony - I am trying to develop a loop by starting the shot with tension in my legs and brushing the ball - it works in practice not yet into a match but it will get there. Had I been able to return his serves I would have won it imo - this is an area I really need to develop BUT you’re right re a topspin loop - the last game was against Gareth Pearson (not uploaded yet) - his topspin’s both sides were different class - this was an even closer match would be interested in your FB when you get chance - thanks again for taking the time to comment I appreciate it

@@InBodWeTrust - thanks Ian - I am doing more work on this - the higher I toss the ball the more effective the spin - it will get there - the muscle memory goes when the pressure is on. Can you see any improvements otherwise ? Best - Howard Mc

@@HowardMcCain99 I think one thing that comes through in your videos is ... when you're playing well you're moving your feet, when you're not you're reaching for the ball. Try to focus on staying as mobile as possible. (I know it's not so easy when we reach this time in our lives - I'll be 60 in a couple of months!) 😲

I thought he threw a lot into your cross over point on his serve maybe a look at your stance on receiving long serves to both wings you are good . could stand a bit an inch or two back or two the right or left on serves down the middle 😊down the middle

@@HowardMcCain99 np, just throw the ball higher, else it's just fine, you don't hide the ball which is more important. Easy to fix it up.
