We're new to TH-cam. Hello, 2024!
Having watched TH-cam vlogs for 10+ years, it was high time to start a channel of my own. Lifestyle, languages, the occasional beauty and health bit here and there, a channel was born. Be kind, be patient; this is a work in process!
When I'm not working in the nutraceuticals field, you’re most likely to find me baking, at the gym, or hanging with our three cats Josephine, Geraldine. and Sigmund. We're all rescues here, just working and making the most out of life.
Whether you’re a long-time viewer of other TH-camr vlogs, or you're new around here (as am I!), it’s my goal to create an online space for you to decompress, to tune in, to realize your potential, perhaps learn a language or two, and to live your best, healthiest life.
Welcome to my channel!

Vlogmas Week 3 | Come with me to NJ and NY - A Holiday Travel Vlog
Back on the road this week for a business trip in New Jersey followed by a weekend in New York City! If you love Le Pain Quotidien as much as I do, this one's for you. We also saw Death Becomes Her on Broadway (simply amazing), did a bit of shopping, found the Vintage Holiday Train, and ran around New York in heels, as always. Apologies that this vlog was cut a bit short, but...life throws you curveballs. I hope you enjoy this week's Vlogmas as much as I enjoy New York City...stay tuned for more!

Melozio is the BEST ❤ Love this duo and can’t wait to amp up my morning routine! How do you make YOUR collagen coffee?
Thanks for joining for another weekly vlog! I hope you enjoyed this winter "glow up" - let me know in the comments what you're doing for YOU this time of year. And have a wonderful Thanksgiving, if you celebrate!!
I bought a very very expensive juicer-never used it. The fact that it needs to be completely taken apart every single time I use it was a bit of a turn off. I guess the serious juicers make theirs in batches.
I had the same reservations! What's nice about this one is that it is super easy to pop together and very easy to clean. Four parts are washed - the chute, the auger, the filter, and the pulp dispenser - but they're solid, easy-to-clean, and unlike a lot of the centrifugal juicers out there (with a big mesh filter) this one uses cold press so there's one tiny mesh part (literally the size of a quarter) and the rest is 100% manageable. Then it pops back together easily, and doesn't look terrible on the counter.
Thanks for watching! Give it a thumbs up and drop a comment if you’d like to see more gut health / nutrition / juicing content ❤
Thanks for watching! Let me know if you try one of these recipes, or if you’ve ever asked Chat GPT to make one for you - how’d it go?
Thanks so much for watching! I cannot wait to get back to Los Angeles. Let me know your favourite spots so we can be sure to check them out next time!
I have always wanted to change my nose because it's long and have a big hump and fat tip, got teased all my life..should I get it done? I'm soon gonna be 37 with 3 kids..does it matter how my nose looks or not anymore?
@@IslamWorld-jg9qg it’s 100% your decision. It was the best change I’ve ever made; for me and my situation, it worked to do it and I’ve never been happier. If it’s something you’ve truly struggled with and you would more enjoy the next 37+ years having changed it, I say go for it! But if you’re happy where you’re at, that’s totally great too!
Can you cook after a rhino?
@@IslamWorld-jg9qg yes but for the first day or two you likely won’t feel like cooking! I would say have some things prepared or ready (yogurt is a great option), and be mindful not to eat hot foods for a few days as you can burn yourself - everything is numb from the meds so wait for food to fully cool before eating
@she_goes_simply thanks for your kind reply, is rhino real worth it? I kind of have a similar nose like your before one,but with stronger nasal hump that makes it look so much bigger than my face and the tip is also fat, making it look huge..does it hurt after the surgery and the sutures get dissolved?
@ I’d say in my experience it is absolutely worth it, I am so happy now being past it. It is a healing process, the stitches may either dissolve or get taken out - a doctor is the best one to answer specifics on this!
Im 31 soon 32 and did a nose job some week ago. I am very happy with the result so far and I wish I would done this 10 years ago. Good content. Question: How was your healing Journey like at which month after the nose job did you see 'final results'?
@@ElisLud-yu6ph it can take up to 14 months to have a final result - currently I am 7 months post op and it will still occasionally be a bit swollen! Every nose is different, but the general window for the major result I’d say maybe 5 months?
@@she_goes_simplyyou look amazing and so happy you did something you have been wanting to do❤️ I to have been battling and not happy with my nose since I was very young, it’s long, crooked, bumped and more importantly i just found out very deviated on both sides but on one side when I breath the air way is totally blocked so it’s been rough for years on top of it being broken so I’m in the middle of getting ready to go in for septorhinoplasty I’m so scared but so excited just to be able to breathe is a huge plus for me but being more confident I’m so excited ❤️ thank you for sharing, I hope you have a wonderful and easy healing journey❤️🙏🏼
@@divaglambaby6521 with so many issues over the years, this is going to be a massive difference for you - congratulations on taking that step! Take recovery nice and slow and it will be life changing ❤️
Thank you for this video. I'm having the same procedure done in two months, and I'm already scared, lol!
@@ZanePrice-hd5gj it’s a little scary until you’re through it, but it will be such a relief and a boost of confidence afterwards! You’ll do great!
@@she_goes_simply Thank you hun. What scares me the most is not being able to breathe through my nose and feeling like I'm suffocating
So beautiful!
Thank you so much! ❤
I had an even bigger nose and went down to an ever smaller nose and went to people I met only a handful of times and asked them if they noticed anything abt my nose and everyone said they didnt. It just shows that everyone is just worried abt their own life and it really doesnt even matter.
by the teeth hurting you meant gum its because the septum is actually attached in some way to your gum so it might feel like its bleeding.
I don’t miss a day a week LYXBAGS hydrate This show
My second makeup tutorial! I hope you enjoyed seeing this Fall Makeup Look, I'd love to hear which beauty bits you're loving for autumn and any tips or tricks you have. Thanks for watching!
You’re so sweet. I’m so happy for you. I need a rhinoplasty. I have a deviated septum from a broken nose suffered from a fall years ago. My nose caved in on one side. I have sleep apnea & my mask doesn’t fit on my face properly because of the nose. My insurance won’t pay for the rhinoplasty because they consider it cosmetic. I just want to breathe. Your kittens are adorable. Congrats on your nose.🙏🙌🙌🙌
We are down to the wire! I hope you enjoy a behind-the-scenes peek at wrapping up our wedding details. If you have any questions or suggestions on ideas/products mentioned in the video, just drop a comment below! Thanks for watching!
Congratulations on your new nose 👃 ❤ it’s beautiful it suits you.
I hope you enjoy the most recent vlog! It was fun filming an "at home" weekend for you. With so much coming up in the next few months, it was nice to have a relaxing weekend at home. Spanikopita recipe is linked below!
Thank you ! I have been dreaming of having a nose job and I am doing my research. I hope I carry through and finally do it,
@@helenmoniz1474 proud of you! Taking the step to have the first consultation is the hardest part, but it is so worth it in the end.
PS the root canal went a-ok, not fun but not as painful as expected. Thanks so much for watching, be sure to like and subscribe for more videos!
What happens if you sneeze while you have the bandages? What if you get a cold? Were you open about your surgery with family, friends, and partner? How did they feel about it? I’m scared of judgment! Haven’t done it! lol
@@ninetales4497 I couldn’t have done this without my partner!! He was 100% supportive. My family not as much - though they were the ones who always made fun of me for my nose before. I was very open about it - I even went to brunch with a friend while I had my cast on! Sneezing is a little painful though I really tried to do an open mouth one if needed. And you’re on so many medications at first I really don’t think a cold is possible!
I hope you enjoyed watching as much as I enjoyed putting this together! My first makeup tutorial...be gentle. Would love your thoughts on other MAC products you've used and loved!
I was in fact on my high schools diving team 🎉 Didn’t evolve into a scholarship or a career but I was on the team!

Thank you so much for watching! I cannot wait to share more details with you on our house as we move in. Be sure to like and subscribe for more!
Why didn’t you get the rhinoplasty done with your other procedure?
@@claudiaangel5773 when I had the other procedure done, a rhinoplasty would have been way out of my budget. Insurance helped quite a bit with the septoplasty, but it still made a dent in my savings. A rhinoplasty is completely out of pocket, and I didn’t have the resources at the time.
@@she_goes_simply gotcha ! Thanks for answering
Thank you so much for tuning in! I’d love to hear what you got up to if you celebrate Independence Day 🇺🇸 Leave a comment down below!
heyy how is your breathing now dose your nose clog and feel stiff ??
Now that I’m four months post op, everything feels pretty normal. My nose no longer feels stiff the way it did post op, but every now and then it will be a little swollen
@@she_goes_simply weird question but when will i be able to smile after what day and dose it impact the process
@marya666 not that much, it Will be hard to move ur whole face freely but 5 to 1 week long everything will be fine
@@chaymaelyrics8056 @marya666 it did take awhile to be able to smile afterwards, especially since my cheeks were so swollen! I’d say keep on with the pineapple and try to be patient with the healing process ❤️
@@she_goes_simply u mean eating Pineapple will help me reduce the swelling?
i’m day 5 post op im only worried about things it’s i can’t breathe much and my upper lip completely swollen inwards like inside my mouth disappeared dose this change and HOW IS UR BREATHING ??❤ also can you like rub it or touch it or pick it or sleep on your tummy??
5 days post op is still really fresh, I’d say it was feeling mostly normal by two months - not super swollen, not numb. The lip thing should go away too - just eat lots of pineapple and trust the process
1 1/4 lb ground lamb 1 egg 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp liquid smoke Minced garlic to taste 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper 1 tsp ground cumin Sides: Halloumi cheese Nectarines Patty pan squash Optional: Greek yogurt Pita bread or hamburger buns Lettuce Tomato Combine all burger ingredients and form into patties. 1 1/4 lb lamb yielded 7 patties for us (we went small) Grill until cooked as desired Grill hallloumi, nectarines, and patty pan squash, seasoning with salt and pepper as you go Assemble with optional Greek yogurt, lettuce, and tomato onto either pita bread or hamburger buns Enjoy!
Youre so sweet! Thank you for this vlog it was very helpful.. I wanna get a septo rhinoplasty and dont wanna change much just the hump on my nose.. Was yours an open or closed surgery?
Mine was open. It depends entirely on your surgeon and their training, along with the exact changes needed. You can discuss options with your surgeon; what exactly you want changed, etc. I've heard doing the septo and rhino at the same time is a slightly rougher recovery BUT I did them 3 years or so apart, and it would have been MUCH better to do it all in one go. Best of luck to you!
I'm 48 years old, and got my rhinoplasty 4 months ago. I'm very happy with the results, it even makes me look younger, which is a plus for me. It's never too late to get it done and feel confident about the way you look.
I love this, I am so happy for you! I think that's exactly right - it is never too late, and there is no age where it isn't OK to do things to make yourself feel more confident :) I'm sure you are 48 and fabulous!
@she_goes_simply thanks so much, and yes! I honestly feel fabulous now. Getting a rhinoplasty is something I've been wanting to do all my life, for the last 30 years to be exact. Putting myself always last. You're never too old to look better than before. I'm so happy now, zero insecurities now! 😊

Yes an update on your rhinoplasty. You look great. Those bugs are huge and so noisy yikes! I have no bugs where I am in So Cal.
You are so sweet. You documented this so well. I had a tip rhinoplasty many years ago. Swelling and numbness took 2 years to go down for me. It’s do worth it.

I’m sure you get this question a lot but how was your pain level? I’m getting a Septorhinoplasty and I’m feeling nervous about it. Everyone’s experience seems to be so different. Like in my head it might feel like a sinus infection 🤷🏻♀️
Pain level was manageable (thank you, prescriptions), it's more uncomfortable than anything. Especially depending on what kind of stints they put in, you'll feel the pressure in your nasal passageways. My biggest recommendation would be to stay on your painkiller schedule, and eat lots of frozen mango/pineapple. Like I mention, it sort of numbs everything from the roof of your mouth upwards. Plus the bromelein in pineapple will help everything heal quickly and minimize bruising. You're going to do great, best of luck to you!!!
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question ♥️. I had a breast augmentation so I’m hoping it’s less painful lol.
Thanks for watching! I hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s vlog. Leave a comment if you’ve ever been to Switzerland, I’d love to hear what you enjoyed the most!
