Did you do all the scheduled services from authorized service centre after 3 free services ? And did you changed all these oils at your home or in authorized service center ? Did service center gives permission to use engine oil of your choice which you bring by yourself ? Can you tell me the prices of motul 7100 10w30 / 10w40 1ltr and Castrol ultimate 10w40 in 1ltr.
Hello. Bro one help😢

Hi can u share the link of luggage accesory u installed for ronin
Hi. I got it from TVS website but currently its not showing up in the website. Seems it is out of stock.
Please make detail video of how to remove front sproket gear liver as its very tricky
Okay Sure. I'll add that part in an upcoming chain maintainence video.
I would be buying the bike in new year! Great video man thanks
Glad to hear. All the best for your new ronin
Make more videos as such. Thank you for your contribution 🌟
Sure. Glad you found the videos helpful.
Hi can you suggest me for best pillion backrest for my Ronin or any news you heard from company regarding backrest it can launch or not for accessories?? If they will launch i will wait or if not then i can search aftermarket have you been tried to contact regarding this if not please contact or get some information and update thank you.
Hi, I've seen people installing the Honda Highness 350's backrest onto the grab handle, but it tends to slide due to a lack of grip. Some have secured it by drilling holes in the grab handle, while others have opted for local backrests on the back luggage rack. However, I felt these solutions don't offer a perfect fit or much comfort. I'm hopeful that TVS will introduce a dedicated backrest with the upcoming versions of the Ronin. Considering their gradual addition of accessories for the Ronin, I'm positive that a backrest might be in the works.
I'm using honda highness 350's back rest on my ronin which is available in amazon. It improves look as well.
Very useful But opening the front sprocket ⚙️ is tricky😟
Thank you. Yeah Its a bit tricky but once the gear lever is removed, the rest will be a piece of cake. It will be great if TVS comes up with a simpler design for the front sprocket cover with the future iterations of Ronin.
I purchased this vechile today ran 15km facing heat issues any advise or suggestions
Not to worry. It's common for motorcycle engines to generate a lot of heat when they're new. During the break-in period, various components within the engine are adjusting and settling, which can cause increased heat. Do follow running in period instructions for maximum life and smooth performance of your engine. For the first 1000 kms don't red line your engine and don't exceed your speed more than 50 kmph. Try using all the 5 gears as much as possible during this period.
It's usual for first few hundred kms because all parts in the engine needs to be get accustomed with the others parts to which it have been assembled with so it undergoes much wear and tear in initial stage and it stops later on. if heats prevails after first service (ie after riding 750kms) then too much heat is not an usual things, complaint that in service center. Welcome to RONIN club ❤ enjoy the exhaust note 🎉
I purchased this vechile today ran 15km facing heat issues any advise or suggestions
People say new engine has heating issue for couple of hundred km. Have to drive more i believe
@@faktChecktrue… after 1st service u wont feel the heat
After cleaning that slag deposited near the gear rod.. Gear became very smooth.. Removing front chain sprocket cover was bit tedious but it's worth it! Smooth gear and soundless chain.
Yeah, it's worth the effort. Glad you found the video helpful.
Did you applied C2 also ? Or only C1 was enough for front spocket ?
@@TheNalin12 C1 is cleaner C2 is lubricant. Lubricant is mandatory, after spraying with C1 and cleaning the chain, you need to wipe everything with a dry rag. Once everything is dry you have to spray C2.
In my state, no tvs service center have air filter for ronin, can you suggest me which bike have same air filter as ronin
Sadly its the same story here in my city. I don't have any idea about the alternatives. But try asking for rtr 200 air filter and compare the dimensions. If it fits then you can go with it.
@wandering_wisp yes i also having the same thought, will try with rtr one
@@biswanathsikdar5629 yeah okay. Part number of ronin filter - NF040790 Part number of rtr 200 filter - NF040370 Hope this helps.
@wandering_wisp Thanks brother, appreciate it
no, rtr 200 air filter doesn't fit, i have tried
Would you recommend 10W50 oil for city usage?
My experience with both 10W 50 and 10W 40 is great. Both offers smoother gear shifting. But I would go with 10W 40 for the city coz its more closer to what TVS is recommending for the Ronin.
Very Informative Make video on how to clean chain
Thank you. Done with the shoot. Going to upload it soon.
I give service center to change oil he use 10w 30 synthetic oil i need to change in local mechanic what garde oil iis better and tvs use 10w 30 suppose grade change to fill oil any issues coming in future
The engine oil rating 10W-30 indicates its thickness in different temperatures. The "10W" denotes cold temperature viscosity, while "30" signifies higher temperature viscosity. TVS recommends using 10W-30 synthetic oil. I've used Motul's and Castrol's 10W-40 oils previously and currently using Motul 10W-50. Essentially, I've moved from 30 to 40 to 50, which basically increased viscosity at higher temperatures. In my tests, the engine's temperature during long high RPM stretches hasn't shown much variation. However, both Motul 10W-40 and 10W-50 provided smoother gear shifts and reduced engine vibrations at higher rpms.
@@wandering_wisp ok bro thanks for information
nice one, Just find the right video before doing my engine oil change by myself
Glad you find the video helpful.
cost of new air filter
Costed me around 260 rupees.
@@wandering_wisp ok, thanks man
Buddy, whats the update on Castrol? I am planning to do the engine oil change and front sprocket cleaning this weekend. For Engine oil i'm confused between Motul 10w30/10w40, Shell Advanced Fuel Save and the Castrol. Now its only with Castrol that you get the shampoo free. If i choose Shell or Motul, what flush should i buy and in what quantity should i use?
Hello, I am sorry I was busy with my corporate tasks and couldn't get time to shoot and edit videos. However, no worries, as you'll be changing your oil this weekend, I'll provide a brief update on the oil's performance here. Without a doubt, Castrol outperforms the stock TVS Tru4 10W 30 synthetic oil. Gear shifts are notably smoother and more precise. Previously, with the TVS oil, the gearbox felt somewhat clunky. Unfortunately, there hasn't been a significant improvement in reducing vibrations. Just two days ago, I switched to Motul 7100 10W 40, and I've already started to notice changes in the engine. Similar to Castrol, the gearbox feels smooth, and even at higher RPMs, the engine exhibits a rev-happy behavior. I'm quite optimistic about Motul 7100. If you frequently ride in the city, I highly recommend going with Motul for the noticeably smoother gear shifts. Coming to engine flushings. Engine flushes are primarily used to remove carbon deposits and other engine gunk. It's not essential to use them at just 10,000 to 15,000 kilometers since there typically isn't a significant buildup of carbon and gunk at this stage. I showcased it in the video because Castrol includes engine flushing for free. If you decide to use an engine flush, I've heard very positive feedback about Liqui Moly engine flush. You can use 60 to 70ml of it to flush the engine. Soon I'll provide an in dept comparison between all the three engine oil's in a video. Thank you for tuning in.
keep up the good work!
Thank you.
Informative bro
Glad you liked it
Hi, any issue wrt rocker arms? for 7000km now, recently rocker arm issue came for my ronin although they replaced it within warranty only but why Its caused I'm not sure
Hello, I didn't faced any issue with rocker arms. Its failure could be because of a faulty rocker arm. Also It's essential to keep the engine oil at the appropriate level. Inadequate or low levels of engine oil can cause insufficient lubrication between parts, leading to faster wear and tear. Check your engine oil periodically to avoid such wear and tear. It's a good idea to get your tappet clearance checked on your motorcycle. It helps maintain engine performance and reduces potential issues. TVS suggests performing tappet clearance adjustments every 12,000 kilometers. I hope this is helpful. Happy riding🏍💨
@@wandering_wisp okay thanks. I usually cruise btw 90-100 its okay right?
Yeah. That will be fine. I rode 800 kms in a single stretch cruising at 100 to 110. But Please mind Taking short breaks and occasionally ride at moderate speeds. This will help your engine run stress free.
@@wandering_wisp sure thanks for the info.
Please post more maintenance video for ronin
Sure thing. Currently working on chain maintenance video. It will be live soon. Stay tuned.
Got my new Ronin 20 days before , I'm getting too much of chain noise while riding in 4,5 th gear.. Is that normal before the first service?
Congratulations on your new ronin🎉. The chain noise is present in most of the ronins. Even my ronin had this issue. If your chain noise is annoyingly loud, complaint it in service center. From your side, lube the chain for every 500-600 kms and clean it for every 1,000 kms. Adjust the chain slack if chain gets loose. This will help your chain be rust free and run noise free. I am following above mentioned steps and my chain noise reduced significantly. Also I am planning to make a chain maintainence guide for ronin. If you are interested please stay tuned.
@@wandering_wisp sure brother it'll be very helpful ♥️
Nice information. How old is your motorcycle ? Still you service it from authorized service centre? Because you use castrol oil which service centre don't allow, don't you think this will affect your warranty ? Please elaborate.
When I recorded this video, my Ronin was 1.1 years old and had covered approximately 18,000 kilometers. After completing the initial three free services, I decided to start servicing my motorcycle at home. Following the third service, I switched from TVS oil to Castrol oil after riding just 2,000 kilometers due to my preference for its performance. Regarding warranty, I received information from a service center that every time you service your vehicle there, your service details are stored in TVS's database. For major warranty claims, TVS may honor your warranty only if your service intervals align with the manual, typically every 6,000 kilometers or 6 months from the last service. So, it's crucial to service your motorcycle at a TVS service center within these intervals. Once you've completed your free services, you can ask the service center technicians to use your preferred engine oil (provided you bring it with you). This guide comes in handy if you wish to change your engine oil between scheduled service intervals. Hope you find the video informative and thanks for commenting.
@@wandering_wisp it's impressive that you have covered 18000km in 1.1 year. Kindly use Motul 5100 10w40 in ronin next time when you change the engine oil, I know it's semi synthetic but it's about 80%synthetic oil and I have seen some video outside our country they using it on kawasaki motorcycle. I also use it on apache 2v but it 10w30. And if you use it as per my request then after installing kindly drive about 1000km and tell me the difference between castrol ultimate and motul5100 on ronin. But at the time of installing motul 5100 please give review of castrol also.
Thank you so much for the recommendation. I am currently testing out the castrol power 1 ultimate extensively (in city, highway and off-road). For the next service interval, I am planned to switch to Motul 7100 10w-40 fully synthetic oil. The reviews are very impressive especially on the RTR 200. So, I've decided to give it a shot. This will enable me to create an overall comparison video featuring TVS TRU4, Castrol Power 1 Ultimate, and Motul 7100. I'll plan for the motul 5100 once after I complete testing 7100.

Can i run changing engine oil but not changing oil filter
TVS recommends to change oil filter everytime you replace the engine oil. Personally I suggest you to change the oil filter for every oil change as the oil filter traps contaminants like dirt, debris, and metal particles that accumulate in the oil over time. Replacing the filter ensures that these harmful particles are removed, preventing them from circulating through the engine and causing damage. Hope you find the video helpful and thanks for commenting
Post more ronin videos
Sure. Will post the next video soon. Thanks for watching.
@@wandering_wisp 🤝
How many months once I need to change the engine oil. I use this bike very little so I want to know the changing interval for better usage.
TVS recommends the initial service to be performed between 30 to 45 days from the date of purchase or after clocking 750 to 1000 kilometers. Subsequent services should occur every 6 months or after driving 6000 kilometers, whichever comes first. Thank you for watching. Hope you liked the video
