So. I've already seen Disney's B'rer Rabbit ( Song of the South 1946), Universal Studios 'The Adventures of B'rer Rabbit' (2006)..I've even seen Ralph Bashki's version of B'rer Rabbit 'COONSKIN'. Thus, recently, I was just browsing on Amazon for a chance to get a copy of this version of B'rer Rabbit. It was last night when I accidentally tapped this video and found what I was looking for.😅 Thanks a lot for uploading this!
I had all the stories as a child and my parents were friends with an elderly man that had them all on film reels with no sound and would play them on our living room wall and read the stories... He sounded like James Earl Jones...I was three... Thank you for the memories Mr. McIntyre R.I.P.aradise❤❤❤❤
@@boiz1906no this movie is made by Emerald City Productions not Disney but I think a lot of people would prefer this version over the Disney one in my opinion the Disney one and this one are both very good
Seems strange that Disney influenced other companies to have Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear be working together considering they barely did so in the original stories if ever.
I have a feeling B'rer rabbit was the original inspiration for Bugs to be honest. Both constantly use wise cracking tricks to avoid becoming rabbit stew, both are snarky, and both have a sort of "Freinemies" relationship with the villians
10:26 -10:30 this face right here that Brer Fox is making could be so much meme material because it’s so fucking funny
I really like this version. 12:54 and 15:38 BRER RABBIT STRAIGHT UP PIMPIN' 🤑🤑🤑

36:34--37:02 😏 Oh, come on! Nobody in their right mind would be dumb enough to fall for that! 37:04 😒 Why do I keep underestimating this fox?
Brer Fox seems more heck bent on eating Brer Rabbit in this film than he did in the original books.
Aren't foxes supposed to have white tail tips?
Challenge: Every time a character says 'Brer'........take a shot 🥃😂

Meeeee

And the time Brer Fox tried to eat him in the 2006 movie.
Even for public domain, they had Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Pinnochio and Bambi.
Is it just me, or does THIS Brer Rabbit look more like Bugs Bunny?
He was taken from Gullah African American folklore.

@@janetplanet4595 Only I highly doubt Bugs would've been dumb enough to fall for that tar baby. I mean, come on! Doesn't even look like a human!
He reminds me of Bugs Bunny.
i got stuck on splash mountain with my friends, so i decided to watch this
SOOO GLAD you uploaded this! Been searching for this version for a long time. This was a huge part of my childhood! ✨😅
What is the full name of this version?
@@Jedimattc song of the south
@jedimattc this is not the full song of the south. This is Tales of Brer Rabbit.
@@fivertherabbit7 That's the 1940s Disney version.
I’ve been looking for this for years. So glad I finally found it
