Bahareh Moghtadaei

Bahareh Moghtadaei was born in Tehran, Iran 1982. At the young age of four she started learning Tonbak. Apart from Tombak, Bahareh also plays the Tar and Piano. She graduated from Sooreh University in Tehran with a BA in Music. Bahareh has toured many cities in Europe. Bahareh is moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2005, and is pursuing her education in Music Therapy.

What incredible talent! I can only imagine the dedication and time spent to be able to play any instrument with that level grace and precision. The fluid movement of her hands is hypnotic. This is an inspiring performance.

@@BaharehMusic are you even in the middle of the USA cause seriously, i would love to have a hand drum show of some kind, ive never done that in the far out arcade (think dave and busters but cooler) i used to have a hand drum group that all met up and played in the park, but we could so do this, i have extra hand drums too if people decide to join or something

So beautiful. I'm playing Tonbak myself for two years now and I'm still amazed by how many techniques there are.
I started playing daf recently, and dive into Persian rythm's world and I am amazed how rich tomback sound can be
